"It took longer to install because of my house being 134 years old. Floors weren't level. But both installers did a great job. A big thanks to both of them"

"Randy was very prompt, courteous, and respectful of our property. He transformed my tub into a walk-in shower. It is beautiful. He picked the perfect ceramic tile to match my flooring, my decor. At first was disappointed because my glass shower door had to be changed due to the initial color I wanted was out of stock. So instead of bronze we went with nickel. It turned out better than expected. We were very pleased with his workmanship. We would definitely recommend him for future remodels. Thanks Randy"

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Ceramic tile can be slightly less expensive than porcelain pavers. You can find outdoor ceramic tile for as little as $1 per square foot, but high-end options tend to cost the same as porcelain.

Granite countertops cost an average of $3,250 compared to $2,250 for tile countertops. Granite is also harder to DIY than tile, given its weight and bulk, which increases the overall labor cost of installation. Over time, both types of countertops may need sealing to remain resistant to water, heat, and other common kitchen elements.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.

Glass, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are all excellent choices for tiling a shower floor. Some glazed finishes can be slippery when wet. Your tiling contractor can provide more information on which tiles will work best for your shower floor.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.
