"Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"

If properly maintained, cellular shades should last between five to seven years. This makes them on the lower end of the lifespan spectrum, which other higher quality shades materials like wood lasting closer to 10 to 15 years.

If you want to avoid taking the blinds down, cleaning them weekly with a microfiber duster or vacuum can help take care of dust and dirt before they turn into stains. Old blinds with frayed or exposed cords can also pose a safety hazard if young children are around.

Cleaning blinds around the house usually takes about one to two hours, depending on the number of blinds, amount of cleaning required, and what type of blinds. Lightly dusting can take as little as 10 minutes. However, a deep cleaning of heavily soiled or greasy blinds may require taking the blinds down and scrubbing them. Drying time will also add to how long it takes to clean your blinds.
