"The window installers were great! They were very helpful and made sure I knew what was going on the whole time. My son and dog were home with me and they did fine with them and they made my son feel involved in the process. Overall it was a great experience!"

"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

"White Pine Renovation was great to work with. The owner, Eric, was friendly but not pushy and made sure our project was completed quickly and without a hitch. The work crew was efficient and hard working. Our new metal roof is beautiful and I am sure it will be for years to come. I highly recommend White Pine Renovation."

"Hanson window are the greatest and they stand behind there work with pride and honor that it will be done correctly. We have put all except one window in this house from Hanson. While the rep was here we noticed that there was an issue with our sliding glass door and he took care of it without us having to say a word. This company is the greatest and easiest company to work with. Don’t waste your time with any other."

"I took the advice of a co-worker and called Everdry and asked for the same sales rep they had. We met with Fred, he was very professional and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of ideas on how to handle our problem. Everyone that we have dealt with at Everdry has been very friendly and helpful. They were very reasonable in price. I would highly recommend Everdry, our problem was solved. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Donavan and Mike were great. They totally stripped my bathroom and then installed new drywall and ceiling., painted it. New tub and shower, vanity, fan, lighting. Fixed a major plumbing issue discovered by a 3rd party. All for about the same money we were quoted for just the tub area."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

Whether it's better to repair or replace a broken mirror depends on its size, value, and the extent of the damage. For small, inexpensive mirrors, replacement is often the better choice, as the average repair cost of around $200 can be close to the price of a new one. However, for large mirrors—like those over a bathroom vanity or large floor mirrors—repair is usually more cost-effective. A new large mirror can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, while repairs typically range from $50 to $200. You should also consider the mirror's age and sentimental value. Antique mirrors and family heirlooms are often priceless and irreplaceable, making repair the most sensible or only option.

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.

Broken glass cannot usually be recycled. Most recycling programs state that glass must be intact in the form of bottles or jars in order to be recycled. You may be able to recycle broken glass at a drop-off recycling facility—contact the facility to see if they accept broken glass.

The size of your mirror depends on the size of your vanity and personal preference. Most people prefer a mirror that is 1 to 2 inches narrower than the width of their vanity, while others like a mirror that’s the same width as their vanity. Remember that the mirror should sit 5 to 10 inches above your faucet when choosing dimensions.
