Customers say: True professional

"I seldomly leave reviews unless I think they are beyond deserved, and this one is deserved! I purchased a home and have never been a fan of designing/decorating. I went from despising decorating to laughing and enjoying it with the help of Colette. She is lighthearted, not pushy and takes pride in her work. She found some extremely unique pieces of decor for my home that wow everyone who sees them. Her pricing is extremely fair as well, 10/10 would recommend."

"I've had a very good experience with OCR Inc. I used them all of the time. He's my contractor. They were here last week. They've been here for the last eight months. He's incredibly trustworthy. He's very punctual and always answers his phone when you call. I couldn't say enough nice things about him. He's a great guy. He's doing landscaping and a dock outside on the lake. He's doing all kinds of stuff. He has both his own crew and other contractors that he calls in."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Yes, animals can trigger motion-sensor lights. In fact, this is a reason why some homeowners install motion-sensor lights, to catch sneaky little critters looking through the rubbish for a midnight snack. There are sensitivities to animal detection though, so you may want to look for an option that avoids animal detection as much as possible.

Installing outdoor lighting can increase your home’s value by up to $2,500. The average ROI on landscape lighting is around 50%, but how much your home increases depends on the market, the type of lighting, and whether you have a strong strategy for your landscaping lighting project. LED and solar lighting may offer the highest ROIs.

Pool lights are designed to be safe by protecting swimmers from electrocution. These lights are made with waterproof fixtures and seals to prevent contact with the water.

Electrocution from pool lights is still possible, but rare. Faulty wiring or broken lighting equipment can make lights unsafe, so it’s important to replace lights as needed and have an electrician inspect and upgrade the wiring.

Outdoor lighting repairs typically take between 1-3 hours. The exact duration can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the ease of access to the lighting fixtures and wiring.

No, you should not leave LED Christmas lights up all year. While the LED lights themselves are very durable, their wiring and casings can be as vulnerable as any Christmas lights. They’re subject to drying out, experiencing cold or sun damage that causes them to crack, and even damage caused by gnawing pests. (The same is true of incandescents.) If you want your lights to last the years that they’re rated for, bring them inside after Christmas is over.
