We are a much sought after family owned painting company in Northern Michigan. We have over 30 years experience. We can handle big projects and small throughout the year. We have a big crew! In the summer we have been averaging 20 employees the past 5 years. This winter we were able to keep 18 employees working. Most of our work is residential homes and cottages, but do some commercial projects. We pay attention to detail, keep a clean and tidy work site, and we always do what we say we are going to do and we do it correctly.

"Dan's work was outstanding. He was delayed in completing the project due to unforeseen complications. (The substance with which the logs were originally treated -- "log oil," which is no longer manufactured -- proved more complicated to remove than anticipated. He was extremely fair in billing for this additional work -- only charged me cost for the extra. I will absolutely use Dan again if/when I need to recoat the cottage!"

Emergency claims will be addressed within 24 hours from time claim is submitted and non-emergency claims will be addressed within 48 hours Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. During nights and weekends non-emergency claims will not receive a call back until the next business day. Our service call deductibles range from $65 - $75.

"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Newer paint cans often come with an “easy pour” spout with a twist lid. These can be tricky to open, but the key is to grip the spout cover with your fingers and twist it counter-clockwise. You should also lay down a plastic tarp and secure it as close to the wall as possible with painter’s tape.

Some caulk shrinks during the drying process, leading to cracked paint and a less-than-ideal appearance. Not all caulk cracks when painting, but it’s important that you read the label on your caulk container before painting to ensure that it’s actually paintable. There are four main types of caulk, and acrylic latex caulk is one of the most reliable caulking materials for painting over without fear of cracked paint. Avoid painting over silicone caulking.
