Small jobs welcome

After working for my father as a grunt worker then his contractors to learn the different trades I am seeing out on my own. My wife and I were married this last year and purchased a house built in 1887 that we’re making our own. I take pride in my work but take even more pride in helping others achieve their vision. Whether it be a luxury or a necessary!

Hello, My name is Dereck \n I've been in remodeling business for 18 years. Family oriented type of guy. Parents started a company when I was Little. Learned a lot from my dad on remodeling.\n There's really nothing that I'm not capable of doing for you in your home inside or out.\n Have a great work ethic and also I like to think about the customer because a lot of times big contractors just rip a customer off and I don't like that. I like to give high quality work at low price.

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"Roy Wessel and his team completed the above mentioned work in 8 days. His prep work was outstanding to include stripping the existing wall paper, re-mudding the walls, masking surrounding areas and covering furniture. His painting was flawless. I was most impressed and pleased with the way the kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity came out. Ronni sanded the doors and faces down to bare wood, stained them twice, and layed two coats of varnish over that; sanding them after each application. The look better than new~! I would recommend this team for any kind of painting job. They were professional, personable and punctual. I will be hiring them for more of my painting projects in the future.

"Fantastic!!!!  Ricky and Ron are miracle workers. - After purchasing all  new stainless appliances for my kitchen, they made my dark wood cabinets look old and outdated.  I talked to seven contractors/stores regarding replacing the cabinets, refacing them or painting them.  I decided painting was my best option due to time and budget.  Ricky and one other contractor were just a few dollars apart, but I  decided to go with Ricky, as I trusted him after I had several conversations with him by phone, messaging and e-mails.  He was very upfront as to telling me exactly what he was going to do, informative and answered all my questions. I could  not have made a better choice.
Ricky and Ron showed up when expected and did an excellent job.  Unbelievably fast, professional and so NEAT.  They left everything exactly as it was before they came, except for my beautifully new painted white cabinets.   They actually look "NEW".  I did have one small issue and Ricky had  Ron come back immediately and it was taken care of.  In the past , I have experienced contractors doing the job, leaving and if anything needed fixing you could not get them back.  This is NOT the case with Remaly Painting.  I cannot thank Rick and Ron enough for making my 30 yr. old cabinets looking so, so nice.  I now love my kitchen!

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.

You can add glass to your existing kitchen cabinet doors with a few tools and some patience. We recommend following the DIY steps listed above, which include cutting a panel for the glass, cutting and adding the glass, and reattaching your cabinetry. If these steps seem too complicated or you’d rather have the peace of mind of a professional installation, hire a cabinet installation pro to handle this project for you.

Yes, refacing old kitchen cabinets is doable as long as the cabinet boxes are still structurally sound. Refacing works best when the framework is in good condition, allowing you to update the doors, drawer fronts, and exterior surfaces without a full replacement.

Ensuring longevity involves using high-quality materials, carefully maintaining veneer surfaces, promptly repairing scratches or imperfections, and cleaning using appropriate solutions.

No, in most cases, you do not have to remove your countertops to reface cabinets. Since refacing primarily involves updating the doors, drawer fronts, and exterior surfaces, your existing countertops can usually stay right where they are, making the process quicker and less disruptive. However, if your counters prevent the access needed to remove doors and drawers, they may need to be temporarily removed. It's best to consult with a professional cabinet contractor to assess your specific kitchen layout during an estimate.
