"Though the gutters were cleaned in December after the leaves had fallen, this spring of 2024 the gutters were over flowing!! I texted David regarding this issue he said they check the downspouts using a leaf blower. This spring I noticed no apparent debris from the downspouts being blown out. David said that my house is surrounded by trees and the downspouts are probably blocked again. This is 4 months later!! What would be blocking the gutters from draining. He said he'd come out but would have to charge me again, again for a service I paid for that wasn't completed properly in December. Would not recommend or use again."

If you’re caught short and looking for an at-home solution, you could try using trusty dish soap to help keep your siding sparkling. However, always use a dilute solution, as concentrated dish soap can clog the machine. One tablespoon of dish soap per 1.5 quarts of water is a good place to start.

You’ll need to wait until the surface is completely dry, which can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours under optimal conditions. The waiting period depends on several factors, including the type of siding and the weather conditions. Trying to paint before the surface is completely dry can trap moisture under the paint, leading to bubbling, blistering, and mold growth.

If pressure washers are stored in freezing conditions and aren’t pretreated for such temps, any liquid remaining in the water pump may freeze, expand, and severely damage your machine. While often recommended, emptying the machine with compressed air is a long and tedious process and still may not completely drain the liquid in this pressure washer part. But adding a bit of antifreeze instead will keep it in tip-top shape without the extra effort.

You don’t have to pressure wash your deck before painting. However, you must clean the deck, and pressure washing is one of the most efficient methods. Pressure washing quickly removes flaked paint, wood fibers, and embedded dirt. It also gets much deeper into the wood surface than manually scrubbing the deck—and the cleaner the deck, the better the paint can adhere. Ensure the wood is fully dry before applying paint.

You can put a gentle cleaner such as distilled white vinegar, dish soap, or a degreaser in your pressure washer in a detergent injector. The attachment will mix your detergent with the water and spray it out. If you have stubborn stains on your driveway, a gentle cleaner in the attachment can help dissolve and remove those stains. Rinse the area with the pressure washer.
