Hi, I’m Mrs. Michael, and when you need something repaired, We wanna be your guy. Back when I was raising two babies, my husband and I started a plumbing company, an electrical company, AND a heating and air company. Mr. Michael is a genius with tools, but he did NOT enjoy running 3 big companies, so he asked me to do it. Turns out, I LOVE it!! I believe that if we make your problems disappear quick and easy, then when someone you know needs something repaired you’ll say: “I’ve got a guy! . . . Her name is Mrs. Michael.”

"I called Mrs.Michael plumbing and electrician on a Sunday and was told the service call would cost $129. However, I wasn?t informed that the $129 only covered the technician?s arrival. Once on-site, I was told diagnosing the issue would be an additional $450 ? and that price only covered two outlets, with anything else costing extra. I?ve rented homes for over 30 years, and I?ve never encountered such misleading pricing practices."

"Your home efficiency experts!" We are a construction company providing a wide variety of services including but not limited to: Insulation, Weatherization, Air Sealing, Windows, Doors, Siding, Gutters & Roofing. We also offer an exclusive no-cost, no-obligation Home Energy Assessment once annually to Michigan homeowners residing in our service area.

"We ordered our large front window (including 2 side windows) back in November 1923. They said it would be 6-8 weeks and that was fine with us as Christmas was around the corner. Come January 2024 we hadn’t heard any updates so my husband called them to check the status. They said it hadn’t been delivered yet (built in Ohio). In February, hubby called again and they reported the side windows had but the center one couldn’t be found… . We agreed to go ahead with the side window install mid February. They came and did a nice job, but they had to complete the frame in with new Quarter Round (plain wood color)! They left. The next report : it was coming in end of that week . Didn’t happen. Finally end of February it arrived from warehouse. Today it got installed on March 4th!! In the meantime my husband said for all the mix up in dates and install dates wonder if they would accept a deal? They agreed to paint the new Quarter Round instead of a $50 discount. And we agreed on White to match the Framing on window. The guys who came to finish/complete last install were very curtious and cleaned up after everything was done . We are very pleased with the work they performed and really love the Triple Pane windows. Looking to lower our energy bill as the last windows had no insulation!"

Home inspections can be very stressful all around. Buyers are worried about whether they are getting a lemon, sellers worried about what will be found and how much it will cost them and the agents wondering if they'll lose the deal over the findings of the inspector. We aim to relieve some of that stress. Thoroughness is our watchword. If we can access it we will inspect it. For our buyers this means that they know they are making the most informed decision they can. When we do find a defect, rather than just making a check mark on our report we explain why it's a defect and suggest realistic remedies. This great for sellers as they aren't getting hit with unwarranted repair demands. For the agents, as a licensed Realtor I know where you're coming from, my goal is to help all parties "save the deal" that everyone's worked so hard for.

Services by electricians can quickly get expensive, but there are a few ways you can save money in the process:

  • Bundle multiple jobs done at the same time to save on trip fees or flat fees for individual projects.

  • Get at least three quotes for service to find the best deal.

  • Buy fixtures, switches, outlets, and other materials beforehand to avoid product markup.

  • If you feel comfortable with it, have an apprentice or journeyman complete the work under the supervision of a master electrician. These electricians in training tend to charge less per project.

Blower door tests are measured in a few different ways, but the most popular are air changes per hour (ACH) and cubic feet of air (CFM) moving through the house per hour. A good ACH score is less than 2ACH, but 1ACH is better. This means the house experiences a total air change within 60 minutes (for 1ACH). For 2ACH, there’s a complete change every 30 minutes, and so on. CFM scores are similar in that a lower score means less air change, and therefore less leakage.

If you have central air conditioning, it’s fine to run your AC all day if that’s what you want—as long as the AC unit is in good condition. But if your AC runs constantly when you don’t want it to, there may be a problem with your system (like the ones we’ve mentioned above). Window AC units and wall air conditioners aren’t as powerful as central AC, so you should only run those kinds of air conditioners for eight to 12 hours at a time.

The difference between an energy auditor and a home inspector is primarily in the purpose of the inspection. The energy auditor conducts tests in your home to determine the energy efficiency levels in areas like windows, insulation, and doorways. The auditor then makes recommendations for ways to improve a home’s energy efficiency

A home inspector examines various structures of your home to determine that everything is up to code and gauge the condition of features like the roof, foundation, HVAC, and electrical. The home inspector reports on the overall home and makes repair recommendations.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.
