"I'm selling a home in Holland. The appraiser noticed a crack in the poured concrete foundation and asked for further investigation by a licensed foundation expert. "I haven't been back to see him but from the pictures he sent it looks like he did exactly what he said he was going to do and it looks good. The renters said it looked good as well. I was happy with his professional attitude and it seemed like he went a little bit further to get things done. He had the lowest bid but that was not the reason I chose him. He did the work. The garage hadn't been painted for 15 years. I tried 7 companies and only had responses from 4. He was right on the spot and kept me up to date every step of the way. He was very professional. I would absolutely use him again."

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.

You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.
