When he was painting the bathroom, he noticed a lack of caulking done around the top of the shower. He took the time to caulk it for us, even though we wouldn't have known if he had NOT done so. "Deck was not cleaned well, stain was applied over existing mold. Was a very thin coat. I'm not sure but I don't think they got more stain, just used what was left from the last time they did the job.
Trim was not prepped, just painted over.
Do not use the carpenter they recommend.
I have used Hillis Brothers before and Nate is very responsive. There was a young man who was the site supervisor who seemed to care less when I pointed out my concerns.
To be fair, it was a very rainy summer and they were trying to fit in the work in between storms.

"They worked hard and got the job finished ahead of schedule. It was so loud, there were several men here for four days, our yard beside the house was completely destroyed but that was totally necessary to complete the job. They consulted with us about changes and progress. The only thing we were not pleased about was they left empty pop bottles in the yard but, perhaps, they meant to clean them all up on the last day. We cleaned them up each day."
