"We had them replace stairs and our lower deck at the lake house. Sales representative was very good and did tell us it would be a while before the work would be started. Took a bit longer than â the whileâ we anticipated based on his estimate and I friend calling to check on the status of the project. Thatâ s the only thing Iâ d mark them down on: communication while waiting. Installation team was good and cleaned the area well. Very happy with the results."

You can attach the hinges to either the door or the frame first, depending on your preference. The order will not affect how the door hangs or the ease of installation. That means you should make your rough opening about 1 inch taller and 2 inches wider than your pre-hung door. You’ll then use shims to stabilize and level the door before installing it.
