"The plumber was very clean. Also, he was as quiet as he could be with my sleeping toddler downstairs. I appreciated that. When he left I was confident the problem was resolved and would be happy to use them again as the need arises."

"Ready Jetter (Kevin) was recommended to me by another plumbing company. I needed service that included jetting the sewer lines. Kevin was prompt to return my call and was able to schedule service the very next day. He kept in touch on timing and performed the service as expected. I was very pleased with his competitive rates and his professionalism. He was very clean and protected all floors and left no mess whatsoever. He even took the time to discuss the issue with the other plumbing company to make sure he had complete knowledge of the situation before coming to my home. They have a great customer relationship management system for invoicing and payment - everything was super easy. I would highly recommend Ready Jetter to anyone that needs plumbing/jetting service!"
This is a screenshot from a short video of the lining being brush coated into the old pipe after we descaled, cleaned out, and installed a new bottom in the pipe. All without breaking up the floor. The link to the video is below.

"I highly recommend Affordable Water Heaters! I found them on Angi, and Jeff called me back right away. He explained the different options and costs. He was very patient as I got other estimates. Affordable Water Heaters had the best product, the best price, and the most flexible scheduling. Jeff explained the process and how to maintain the water heater. After it was installed, Jeff checked in to make sure I was happy with the work. When it comes to maintaining the home where my family lives, I am an extremely fussy client. Affordable Water Heaters surpassed my expectations."

"Mr. Pipey Plumbing is awesome! I had a new renant move in Friday. He found the shower and sink drains clogged, so I called Mr. Pipey at 3:00, set up an appointment, they showed up same day from a job location down the road, assessed the issue, and rocked out my drain issues in the bathroom. They got there at 5, out by 6 - all clear. Professional, easy to work with, tenant is happy, cost was very reasonable and fair. I will use them again now at my rental house locations."

"Joe and Adam came out on time. They quickly replaced my sump pump and installed a back up. The price matched the quote Joe gave me on the phone originally. Honest and hard working - I hope I don't need a plumber again but If I do I will call Joe at Capital Plumbing."

"Services: Unclog drain, Repair toilet, Repair pipe. // Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness // Haines was recommended to me saying they were good at their job. I called them Monday, Feb 15th about a clogged drain, they came out Tues Feb 16th at the time I was told they would be there, which was great! They were there from 3:30 pm to 6:50 pm. Some repairs had to be made to the laundry tub drain and my toilet had to be lifted so they could access that portion of the drain. After the toilet was replaced, the shut-off valve leaked, so I asked them to replace that also. The work that was done created quite a mess... BUT, when they were finished you would never know that. Everything was cleaned up so well and disinfected, it looked nice and smelled nice. The workmen were very professional and knowledgeable about their job. I will add this company to my contacts as a reliable source for repairs."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Underground plumbing requires strict attention to the 42-inch frost line to prevent pipes from bursting during harsh MI winters. Sump pump discharge routing also demands precision, as routing water into the sanitary sewer violates local codes. Additionally, improper transitions between older galvanized pipes and modern materials cause severe leaks. Hire a licensed professional to ensure your plumbing system remains safe and fully compliant with state regulations.

Helpful?

Cosmetic plumbing, like replacing a showerhead, involves simple fixture swaps and requires no permits. Functional plumbing, such as relocating drain lines or replacing a water heater, requires official permits and mandatory inspections in Fraser. Functional upgrades demand bringing connected pipes up to current code standards. These intensive projects also involve cutting into concrete slabs or shutting off the main water supply to your entire home.

Helpful?

Document your home’s age and existing pipe materials, such as galvanized steel or cast iron. Note the location of your main water shut-off valve and your current sump pump discharge setup. Since Fraser has heavy clay soils, record any history of basement water intrusion. Checking your municipal water pressure and reviewing past permits will help a local professional accurately assess your plumbing needs before starting work.

Helpful?

Homeowners consistently underestimate the time required for permit approvals and inspection scheduling. Exterior plumbing requires navigating heavy clay soils and frozen ground during MI winters, which significantly extends project timelines. Additionally, opening walls in older homes reveals outdated infrastructure that demands immediate code upgrades. Always schedule a sewer lateral camera inspection and coordinate with local utility locators well in advance to keep your project on track.

Helpful?

Mandatory inspections structurally prevent single-visit completions for functional plumbing, as inspectors must approve rough-in work before you close your walls. Discovering non-standard parts in older Fraser homes or identifying root intrusions during a sewer camera inspection forces additional visits. Exterior work demands a mandatory three-day waiting period for utility locating. Saturated clay soils and frozen ground also force contractors to spread exterior work across multiple days.
