MKD Kitchen and Bath (MKD) is a leading provider of kitchen and bathroom remodeling services in the Midwest, catering to both residential and commercial customers throughout Michigan. "We had new countertops and a sink installed in April 2024 through Costco, with MKD handling the installation. We paid over $6,500 for the job. Just 14 months later, we walked into our kitchen to find the sink had completely fallen?due to failed adhesive and the fact that MKD never used the mounting clips that came with the sink. I contacted MKD and sent photos as requested. Days went by with no response. When I followed up, they admitted they had ?overlooked? the photos and promised to call back that afternoon. They never did. After another follow-up, they informed me the installation was only covered under a one-year warranty and that I would need to pay a $500 service fee just to have the sink reattached. Our sink is now literally being held up by 2x4s. This issue could have been avoided with proper installation and could easily be resolved with a quick visit but MKD refuses to take responsibility. Think twice before hiring MKD. In my experience, they have been careless, unresponsive, "

"Designer: Sharon Fielhauser met with my wife and went over the ins and outs of her ideal dream closet system. My wife met with her after researching two other options. Ikea Closet System and Container Store Closet system. Hence this review we went with Closets byDesign. Yes they are a little more but everything is custom designed for and your needs and installation is added in the cost. There is nothing wrong with the other companies but Closets byDesign one our business. The wait time I think was 6 weeks or so from design to installation. Installer/Builder: Izac showed up what I would have called lunch time but he called work time. (around 11:00 AM on a week day) Izac never stopped for the three hours at all walking in and out of the house as he had to cut and fabricate outside and install inside our primary. We offered him lunch and he said he was good. But he worked really hard and deserved a break. Izac was a one man team and went over every detail with my wife he had any concerns. For example he offer to have a set of drawers even with the wall or line up with the window. Izac made little to no mess and as indicatied in CBD policy all i had to do as a home owner was fix the holes in the wall from the previous closet and paint if we so wished. but honestly most of the holes was coved by the new system. We have discussed hiring Closets byDesign for other works and would recommend you do the same."
