"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

For Flint homes, begin by deep cleaning and removing clutter, especially in basements and entryways prone to mud or moisture. Update lighting fixtures to brighten interiors during long winters. Refresh walls with neutral paint and repair any visible wear. Enhance curb appeal by tidying landscaping and adding native plants. Focus on making kitchens and bathrooms feel fresh, modern, and well-maintained to attract Flint’s real estate market buyers.

Helpful?

Staging your Flint home can significantly boost its appeal and help it sell faster in a competitive real estate market. Highlighting updated kitchens, refreshed bathrooms, and inviting outdoor spaces makes a strong impression. Staged homes in Flint often attract more buyers, especially those relocating from outside the area, and can help overcome any lingering concerns about property condition or local market perceptions.

Helpful?

Flint’s weather means home staging should adapt to both harsh winters and humid summers. In colder months, highlight energy-efficient windows, cozy textiles, and safe, well-lit entryways. When it’s warmer, maximize natural light, showcase screened porches or patios, and use moisture-resistant décor. Addressing humidity with visible ventilation solutions and emphasizing clean, dry basements can reassure buyers about Flint’s unique climate challenges.

Helpful?

In Flint, consider home staging if your property has been listed for over two months with limited interest, or if feedback mentions outdated features or dark spaces. If nearby homes are newly renovated or your interior feels cluttered, staging can help your listing stand out. The most active real estate market in Flint is typically from spring through midsummer, making this the ideal time to stage.

Helpful?

For staging in Flint, keep cleaning products for mold and salt residue, wood polish, and carpet cleaner ready. Essential tools include a hammer, screwdrivers, level, measuring tape, and touch-up paint. Staging supplies like extension cords, furniture sliders, and fresh indoor plants are helpful. Given Flint’s climate, dehumidifiers, portable fans, and ice melt are smart additions to keep your home comfortable and safe for showings.
