Small jobs welcome

Nick Sippl, owner of Nick's Tile and Stone, has been working with Stone and Ceramic Tile for over fifteen years. Though the company was started primarily a tile repair business, it is now a full line Tile, Stone, Barrier Free / Handicap, and Water Damage Restoration company.\nWe have seen many changes in the technology and products we use.\nIt's our goal to stay on top of these changes so you the customer can benefit by receiving a top quality installation, and a product that we know you will enjoy. \nOur goal is customer satisfaction. It's what the business is built on.\n\nJust a quick overview of our main specialties:\n\nCeramic Tile \nCeramic tile installation and repair is what the business was founded on in the early 1990s. The main specialty was repair. We would take on jobs no one else wanted to. Such as leaking shower floors. We also found that many times a simple repair was all that was needed as opposed to an entire removal and reinstall. This also led to becoming a leader in Insurance repair.\nAlthough repair started the business, the majority of work is now installation.\n\nNatural and Cultured Stone installation \nBranching off into the Stone installation part of the business was a natural transition.\nWe put the same high quality expertise into a Stone installation of either Natural or Cultured stone. We can handle the entire job from frame up to the final stone set.\n\nBarrier Free / Handicap Accessibility \nBarrier free is a term that has been heard a lot lately, and will continue to grow as the "baby boom" generation gets older and will desire the convenience and beauty of a barrier free shower and bathing area. The one question you will hear most from us regarding Barrier Free is \nYoure the customer, your needs come first. What do you want and need from this installation?\nOur goal is to make you a satisfied and above all Comfortable customer regarding your Barrier Free installation. \n\nAt Nicks Tile & Stone we will work hard and make sure that the job is done right. So feel free to give us a call today and we will come out to your house and work with you to find the right solution for all of your projects. And as always customer service and satisfaction is our number one priority.\n\nI love MIchigan. However, due to the rise in operating costs, we have resorted to charging a estimate / trip charge. In most instances, the charge will be $25.00. Unfortunately, we have some customers just "Price Shopping". This is refunded when your job is completed. \n\n\n\n\n\n

"They have been out for the electrical. They have been out for the pool. They have been out for the sump pump. Its the fee for the service call. We have used them for the last 3 years. If you have an appliance that you think needs replaced they will not replace it they will repair it to death. They are very responsive. Some of the people they send out are great, some are okay."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Land surveys are worth it in several scenarios including selling your home, building an addition, constructing a fence, or making major changes to your landscape. A professional land survey can help you avoid legal issues with your neighbors and confirm the value of your property. In many cases, you may be required to order a land survey to receive a construction permit or mortgage loan.

When planning for land survey costs, you should consider the following elements as major contributors to the overall cost:

  • Size of your property in terms of acres or square feet

  • Complexity of the terrain in terms of hills, elevation changes, rocks, water, and other features

  • Type of survey you need (boundary survey, topographic survey, or a combination of survey types)

  • Distance traveled for the professional surveyor

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.
