Small jobs welcome

"Kingsley was recommended to me by a friend and they did not disappoint. I moved from a house to a condo after 27 years and also was storing items from my parents home. It was quite a move. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful and very hard working. The following day another team moved my dad from independent living to the condo. Again, I was very pleased with this smaller move. At this point I have not found anything broken or damaged which is amazing to me. I would highly recommend Kingsley Moving Systems. It was worth every penny!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

If you are trying to reduce costs, then you should move to Hawaii during the off-season. Typically late spring and fall is when flights and other accommodations are most affordable. The weather is also milder, which makes unpacking more pleasant.

Ultimately, the best option for your cross-country move depends on your budget, timeline, and the level of convenience you want. For a speedy and hassle-free experience, you can spend a bundle on full-service movers who take care of everything from packing to transport. Budget-friendly options include container services that allow you to pack your stuff at your leisure.

Professionals can typically move a one-bedroom apartment in three to five hours. It will take longer if you have many belongings or the destination is far away. The time will also increase if the movers must handle large and cumbersome items, like full sets of dressers and antique wood furniture. DIY moves take significantly longer, typically lasting a full day or more.

To pack mugs safely for a move, start by lining the bottom of your moving box with padded material like bubble wrap. Wrap each mug individually; for a snug fit, you can tuck the ends of the bubble wrap sheet inside the mug. Place the wrapped mugs in the box, using a box with slots for extra separation if available. The key to preventing breakage is to pack the box tightly enough that the mugs cannot shift during transit. Fill any empty gaps with additional packing material. However, be careful not to pack more than 10 mugs in one box, as it can become too heavy to carry safely. Finally, be sure to label the box as “fragile” to alert movers to handle it with care.

Yes, tipping each mover separately ensures that everyone on the team gets their fair share.
