"Ryan and Trudy just finished painting the exterior of our house and they did a fantastic job. They work hard, take great pride in what they do and do a very professional job. They made our house look almost like new! We have used them in the past for powerwashing and staining our deck and for interior painting and have always been very pleased with their work and I am sure we will use them in the future. Additionally they are very nice people."

"He did a fantastic job. He re-painted a bad paint job from a previous painter, and he made it look top-notch. He painted our living room, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms in a day. He is incredibly efficient and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"I contacted Angie’s List for a painter to trim the house. Picasso Painting gave me an estimate and was hired. They painted the front which is a one story and a one and a half stories in the back. They also power-washed and trimmed trees near the house. My garage door was painted too. A pleasant surprise. the house. My garage door was painted too. A pleasant surprise."

Customers say: True professional

"I was looking for painters and I got that plus carpentry and masonry repairs! The crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of our home. They replaced rotten wood, scraped and sanded, and used high quality product. Our chimney needed some repair and a mason quoted $2k... JRS fixed it for $500. They also reinforced floor joists and posts in the basement. Throughout the job Jaime shared updates and asked questions to ensure we were happy with the work. I highly recommend them."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Sanding paint that contains lead is never safe, and sanding modern paints can still be hazardous. However, you can protect yourself by wearing a high-quality respirator during the process or by using a wet-sanding technique. You can wet the wall and then sand or use a wet sanding tool to achieve this.

Yes, paint thinner can damage some surfaces. Specifically, it can cause a lot of damage to laminate flooring if applied incorrectly.

To fix bubbling paint, scrape away any loose or blistered areas using a putty knife. Lightly sand the surface to smooth out rough edges and create a level finish. Clean the area thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and any residue. Once the surface is clean and dry, apply a quality primer suited to the material you're painting. Finally, repaint the area, making sure to work in proper temperature and humidity conditions to prevent new bubbles from forming.

Numerous primers on the market will do the job of covering peeling paint. The best primers for peeling paint are bonding or adhesive primers that essentially glue the edges of peeling paint back to the subsurface while providing a smooth, even surface for the new paint coat.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.
