"The crew did an incredible job clearing our backyard. We purchased a home that had been vacant for a while and the backyard had become extremely overgrown with a maze of dead trees and stumps everywhere. Jeremy approached the project with a "no big deal" attitude and kept us updated with many pictures and videos throughout the process. They did such a fantastic job, we highly recommend them for any forestry needs."

"Robert and his crew at Inspire Tree Services are efficient, conscientious, knowledgeable and great at all things tree related. I've had multiple trees (dead, dying and alive but dangerous) removed by them and have never had any issues with workmanship or clean up afterwards. My neighbors asked for their details after seeing what they accomplished, and hired them too, they were so impressed. Would not hesitate to use them again."

Customers say: True professional

"I submitted a quote for building up an area with soil to increase drainage. Then I wanted 3 Japanese Maples planted on top. These are trees that are a memorial for my brother that just passed away. So it was important to get them in the ground. Efrain called me right away, came to give me a quote that same evening. Then he was here the next day to do the job. He was fast and is a hard worker. We really appreciate his prompt attention. Thanks Efrain!!"

"Kris replaced a deck and 2 years later cleaned and re-stained it. I thought the price for the clean/re-stain was a bit high, so we negotiated, and I am happy with the final price and the work. Also, I needed a plumber in a hurry and Kris sent someone over quickly. All the people who work for Kris have been pleasant to work with, and Kris is easy to communicate with. I will use him for other projects."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large.

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

If this sounds like a good option, learn more about how to burn a tree stump before attempting it, as it does come with risks.

A standard tree removal doesn’t include stump grinding. If you want your contractor to remove your tree and grind the stump, you must pay an extra charge. That said, you’ll likely save on the cost of stand-alone service—especially if it’s a small tree and they can finish both jobs in a single trip.
