"I contracted with Hammer Time to install siding, gutters and windows on my mid 80's colonial. The entire experience was excellent from initial contact through the end. My home is fairly large and has unique features which required a great deal of custom work for all of the tradesmen… I am happy to say that they all performed well beyond expectation. We started with siding and gutters; the original wood siding was dated and needed an overhaul… the gutters were a total disaster. Hammer Time replaced where necessary, the decaying wood and relocated the gutters to a more efficient location which helped with functionality as well as aesthetics. Until the first big storm, I never knew just how much water a 6" commercial gutter could move. I am happy to say that after the install, my sump pump rarely runs and I am no longer concerned about drainage when a storm rolls in. A couple of month later, we had approximately 50% of our windows replaced with new high efficiency vinyl replacements. After hearing horror stories from others about how the window replacement process can be, I braced for the worse. The thought of having someone knocking out my windows and exposing my home to the elements just didn’t seem like something that I wanted to go through. Once again, Hammer Time sent their best guys who did full frame tear outs, moved quickly, did a first class job on the install and left zero mess. The carpet was protected, debris removed and even the existing moldings were preserved. The install looks better than what you would find in new construction and I love the noise reduction and efficiencies that have been gained. Bottom line here is that this was money very well spent. I have already talked with them on finishing the remaining windows next year and possibly look at some decking options the following year. You won't go wrong with these guys... a truly great company to work with."

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Most duct booster fans are not designed to run continuously, though some models can be programmed for constant operation. Typically, they are controlled by the user via a switch, controls on the unit itself, or by being wired to the HVAC system's thermostat. Wiring the fan to a thermostat allows it to run automatically only when heating or cooling is active, which saves energy and is an effective way to activate the fan only when needed to address issues like uneven room temperatures.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.
