We had a few teething issues and problems and I nearly lost the faith, so when I woke up this morning with no heat at all I was at my wits end. Jon responded immediately to my somewhat emotional voice message and had a senior tech at the house in less than an hour. He found the problem (manufacturer hadn’t tightened a valve and water and electrics don’t mix) grabbed the part and fixed it within a couple of hours. All under warranty and no charge. You can fix a leaking outdoor spigot by replacing the washer, tightening the bonnet, or replacing the spigot altogether. Turn off the water supply and open the spigot to see the issue. You may need to tighten the bonnet by 1/8- to 1/4-inch of a turn. You might also need to see if the washer is damaged or worn. If those fixes don’t stop the leak, you should replace the outdoor spigot. Consider a frost-proof sillcock to prevent future freezes and leaking. 

Any drain in your house requires a water trap to prevent sewer gases from entering the home. Dishwashers don’t have an internal water trap, so they must use an external P trap. The most convenient P trap for the dishwasher is already in the plumbing under your sink.

Dirty, cloudy faucets have been stained by tap water, that is "hard water." The scaly deposits you're seeing are actually signs of calcium buildup. If you have visible cloudiness on the outside, there's a high chance you have calcium buildup in your pipes that needs to be treated.

It depends on where the leak is coming from as well as your ability to stop it until a plumber is able to come over and permanently fix the problem. If the leak is under your sink or coming from a drippy showerhead and you can avoid using the fixture until your plumber arrives, this wouldn’t be considered a major issue. If you notice any water damage on your walls or other signs of a major leak, you should call an emergency plumber ASAP.
