"Hiring this guy Joshua was a complete waste of time and effort. He promised to come 3 times and gave excuses every time as to why he could'nt. I'm sick, flat tire, ran out of gas etc... Finally when he came and was almost done I paid him for the fall clean up and a cord of wood, he left to go get the wood and was never seen from again. Texted back and forth for about a month, nothing but excuses, never finished job I paid him for. Then said he was going to send me money back and never did. Said through text that the reason he didnt is because i didnt talk to him with respect, this is after about 20 excuses, not sure what he expected. He then proceeded to challenge me to come to his house and try to physically take my money back LOL. This guy is a real professional. I wish I would have read the other reviews before I hired him."

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

Yes, most services include grading for proper drainage. Confirm with your contractor.

An aboveground pool should be level within 1 inch—and it starts to become unsafe after a couple of inches. Any slope will lead to an uneven distribution of water, which will put pressure on your pool’s structure, wearing down the pool liner. In certain cases, it could cause your pool to collapse. Even if you’re within a safe window, you may still notice that the water level is uneven.

The average cost to have rototilling done on your property is around $250, and most homeowners pay between $100 and $350. The total for your rototilling project will depend on the area you need tilled, the quality of the soil, how many roots and shrubs are in the area, and the accessibility of the area. Anything that increases the time to till your soil—like hard clay soil, small entrances to the area that require the use of smaller tools, and roots running through the ground—will all increase your costs.

For minor unevenness, you don't necessarily need to remove grass before leveling. You can apply a topdressing mixture to fill in low areas and even out the surface. However, for more significant unevenness or deep depressions, it might be necessary to temporarily remove the grass to ensure proper leveling and soil compaction. After filling and leveling, you can replace the grass or consider reseeding the area.

Yes, most landscapers should be able to install French drains. However, it’s best to hire a French drain installation company that specializes in this type of project. You may want to get multiple quotes from landscaping companies to get an idea of the average installation cost before hiring a professional to install a French drain system for you.
