"Worst workmanship I’ve ever seen. Basement still leaks, the system they installed does not drain water into the sump crock looks like water is now being diverted under the floor. Owner never came out to look at what his employees call a finished job. I was quoted by Dennis $56 a foot in the basement and when I got upstairs it was actually $59, red flag. I was quoted and designed a system and they installed another. Look at pics and you decide if you want to hire these hacks and liars. One other thing the workers mixed the Qiukrete next to my furnace that was running and the whole house was filled with concrete dust."

Interlocking garage tiles made with PVC are the most effective for garages with past issues of humidity and flooding because damp concrete is not suitable for paint. A vapor barrier keeps moisture out of the crawl space, while insulation reduces the amount of unconditioned air—and sometimes moisture—that enters the space. Coupling a vapor barrier with insulation can help prevent humidity and related moisture damage in a crawl space while also making your home more energy-efficient. Just be sure to use insulation that won’t get damaged from moisture, like rigid foam board or expanding spray foam insulation.

Alternatives to gutter systems include rain chains and drip edges, which work to disperse rain coming off of your roof to a wider section of the ground to prevent erosion and pooling. These options aren’t standalone alternatives to gutters in all parts of the country because they don’t divert water. They’re often reserved for dry climates. On the ground, you can also opt for a drip path or French drain. These can serve as standalone alternatives, but they’re expensive and can detract from your curb appeal and usable yard.
