Im currently working at a nail salon i been a manicurist for over twenty years im honestly looking to get into fixing and remodeling small projects around the house. i could do mostly anything a little electric like installing tv changing out old outlets, laying tile on floors, some plumbing repairs. Caulk goes in corners or where two different materials meet (like where the bathtub meets the tile) to create a waterproof seal. However, they are not interchangeable—you shouldn't use caulk to adhere tile and shouldn’t use mortar if you need a waterproof seal.

You cannot tile directly over hot mop waterproofing because tile requires a smooth, solid surface to adhere properly.
