A great job very happy. We build our home 16 years ago and needed a makeover. New countertops, ceramic tile, tubs and showers and kitchen backsplash. Kept in contact the whole time, showed up same time every morning. Very helpful on ideas , colors and design, easy to work with, very hard working. Again, very pleased with our new bathrooms and kitchen.

We found Scott Austin to be friendly and easy to work with. He did a nice job of designing the fireplace. He completed the long list of jobs. All the work was completed as agreed.

Our project was to completely gut the bathroom and everything new done, ceramic tile laid in bathroom, kitchen and dining room. From beginning to end the job went smooth as could be expected with all that was going on.  We lost our son in the middle of it all and Scott and his help were very compassionate and kind with the situation. I've never had a contractor and his help as caring as they were. It did take longer than expected because of the holiday's and because of the age of our home some extra new plumbing was done to update the old. The sub-contractors that were hired for the drywall and electrician were very professional. The tile contractor did a good job but there were some things that needed to be corrected and Scott took care of some of the molding that needed replaced. There are a few things that we wish were alittle different but we are glad it is done and overall are very happy with the finished project.

Austin Construction is A-1 in my book.  Their quote was accurate for the bid and the extra work was time and material used.  The work area was tarped and sealed from the rest of the house and the work area was cleaned on a daily basis to prevent the spread of construction debris.  The work was discussed daily so that mistakes could be avoided and dimensions were adjusted to our needs and expectations.  The work was done in an orderly fashion and coordinated with all the trades to avoid delays.  Their demeanor was always pleasant, friendly, and accommodating to our needs.  I would and have recommended Austin Construction to all my friends in need of home remodeling.

Scott and crew were a pleasure to work with. The bathroom project was in our second home and required a fair amount of communication via phone, emailing of text and pictures. Scott always made himself available, answered all emails and did so promptly and timely. Guidelines and budget were established early and on paper. There were no surprises at completion of the project. We are thrilled with the quality of workmanship. The tiling job is beautiful and precise. Scott installed a linear drain in our low profile shower, which is not a common installation, but was very well done. Some modifications had to be made during the process, but Scott was very fair and eager to satisfy the client. All turned out beautifully! We now look forward to using our vacation home bathroom than our primary one.

From the beginning, Scott Austin was a professional.  He came to bid the job at the appointed time!  Then while working the job, he responded to text messages and phone calls in a timely manner.  This was important to us as this is a second home.   Scott does most of the work himself which is great because he oversees the entire job.  He had to take off hardie board and trim from the outside of the house.  Some wood had to be replaced and the header needed a few days to dry out.   Flashings had to be set around doors, windows and cantilever joyces that support the second floor deck.  Tyvek had to be replaced around all the patio doors and windows on the second floor. The work progressed well and when the job was finished the house looked good as new!

As a bonus for me, I found out that Scott works with tile. He placed a 7" circular Pewabic tile in the backsplash on one of the kitchen walls. It looks GREAT!  All in all, I highly recommend Scott Austin to anyone looking for quality work from a contractor in the Port Huron, thumb area of Michigan. Oh, did I mention that he cleans up the debris from the job daily - you don't have to walk around a mess!

All I need to say is that Scott did a WONDERFUL job. He is meticulous, courteous, and punctual. He cleans up after every job, He communicates with you and works with your schedule all the while getting his project done on a timely manner and done very well. He'll share ideas for your project you may not have thought of. He has contacts for electricity and plumbing, otherwise there is nothing he won't do. Highly recommend Scott Austin for your job.
