Due to the number of trees to be removed and trimmed for satellite reception and above the garage and house they offered a full day rate where they did all the quoted tasks for $3400 instead of the quoted $3600 and would provide a whole 6-man crew for 8 hours to accomplish other tasks as well. Hoover's has the equipment to make much of this work relatively easy. They have a huge bucket truck which was able to reach to the top of nearly any tree on our property (if it could drive to them). It was able to reach over the house to get at some of the branches shading the house. In the process they saw that there were a couple small holes in the shingles and I provided shingles, nails and roof tar and they made a repair to the area. They also used a leaf blower from the bucket to blow leaves out of the gutters. They also have a huge chipper, which they used to chip up whole tree trunks of 12+ inches in diameter. Clearing the path for satellite reception took longer than expected since trimming the top branches of a huge maple, which was the expected solution, wasn't going to be good enough and the whole tree had to come down along with a couple smaller trees. This lead to them not having time to address dead branches in the canopy of the trees in the driveway circle. The pilot light on the furnace wouldn't light and the burner wouldn't light on the water heater. Trudell's diagnosed the furnace to a clogged (rusted) pilot light orifice and removed the components of the furnace to clean it. In the process they replaced the thermocouple as a preventative measure. That fixed the furnace and it was relatively quick. They diagnosed the water heater to be a failing pressure switch in the power vent. This was not detecting that the vent fan was working so it prevented the gas from being switched on, so the burner wouldn't heat water. On a second visit he brought a generic pressure switch since the original is no longer available (18ish year old water heater). He adjusted this and claimed it worked and recommended that I watch it to be sure that things turn on and off correctly. It turned out that this didn't work and the burner would turn off in under 2 minutes. When I called them on the phone they said that they could either sell me a new power vent for ~$500 or a new water heater for ~$1100. We are planning on renovating the house over the next couple years so now, isn't the ideal time to do either, since I expect that we will relocate the water heater to a wall where a power vent isn't needed and replace it then. The real problem was that the orifice between the fan and the pressure switch was clogged (rust again?). I detected this by attaching a hose to it and trying to blow through it with no luck. I cleaned it with a wire then I could blow through it. The guy from Trudell's attempted to clear the orifice, but didn't test it. With that cleared, I found that the generic pressure switch was connected backwards (by finding the documentation for it on the internet) and was able to connect it correctly and adjust it and all works fine now. The pressure switch was replaced, but the original one was still functional, but that was only determined after finding the real problem. Overall I was happy with the service, but I wish that the real problem with the water heater had been detected originally. That would have avoided a second visit and replacement part (pressure switch), which was a third of the total cost. Absolutely terrible company. I moved out at the end of December and gave the property manager a notice of intent to vacate due to a domestic issue I was having with the person I was living with. I was told my name would be removed from the lease. The person I was living with moved out on...

Jon removed 3 huge, overgrown yews. Jon was super punctual. He was pleasant to deal with. He completed the job and charged a reasonable price. I would definitely call him for future projects.
This company was great to work with. Customer service was great. My tree was near many obstacles but the crew expertly got it out without any damage to anything. They were awesome when I made last minute changes too. I will definitely call them again when I m ready to get my other trees...
Our original request was to make a path for satellite reception and remove a dead branch which was hanging up in the canopy 30 ft above our garage. Ray Hoover (the owner) came out and generated an estimate with several other additional tasks which he saw as needing to be done. The main...

Called to get estimate for installation of new water heater. L Walker came next day to look, found old tank leaking and removed it. Have not had new one installed yet as the service call and pric of new tank/installation was more money than I expected.

FAQs for animal removal projects in Au Train, MI
DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.
Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
Pest control is not the same as animal removal. Pest control specialists treat for insects and bugs, often by using chemicals. Animal removal specialists try to avoid chemicals if possible and instead work to trap and move the animal that's causing problems.
Since each expert has their own removal methods, it's best to contact a pest control professional for insects and bugs and an animal control specialist for other animals.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.
Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
