Fabulous communication ,and work. I live out of state, and each time that work has needed to be done The Golden Rule Handyman has been on time and very professional . One of the few companies that is excellent in all phases of the business world. I highly recommend this company !

Right on time, right on price, finished a major job beautifully. Saved our bacon! [First-timers should know that plastering ceilings is beautiful - Michael even dealt with many recessed lights. There is some dust involved, just pitch in because it gets everywhere. But its the most beautiful work and its half the cost of sheetrock.)

He did a great job, very professional - put up curtain rod, wall remote holders and waterproof sealed around a counter top and back splash in my kitchen. He was very neat with the sealing work, so you can't see at all where it was applied. I will definitely hire again.

We hired Mike to work on some of our ceilings - he removed tiled squares and put in drywall, smoothed out an old plaster ceiling and did patch work on another. We felt that he was honest, reasonable and personable! The thing we liked most about Mike was that he provided his insight, but was still willing to try the project we had in mind even though there were many unknowns. Our project did not work out as we did encounter some structural limitations - he kindly backtracked and finish off the work with clean smooth results. Lastly Mike was easy to work with, good communication and flexible scheduling! We would definitely consider him for other projects around the home.

I called Mike from Florida for work on a rental property.This is the second time he has done some work for me. The jobs were to Jack up and straighten a porch, clean out basement, shampoo carpets and repair a window. When we got back in May we went over to see how everything looked and he did a fine job on all projects. He stuck to his estimate which I thought was very reasonable. A very reliable guy who is gaining a good reputation.

EXCELLENT CONTRACTOR. My project was drywall installation during a bathroom remodel. I chose Golden Rule after reading the reviews and obtaining an estimate. The price matched the budget I had set for this part of the project. The work was performed during four visits over four days (drying periods are required for drywall). Michael showed up on time each day. He was very polite and very helpful with explanation of drywall techniques and also offered advice on other household repairs I might need. The final product was perfect and ready for painting. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to use Golden Rule for any future projects.

QUICK, EFFECTUAL, REASONABLE PRICE.

Mike did a great job! He had to take my dryer apart to fit it into the laundry room, which was no simple feat. I know I'll call him again when I move out.

Mike did a rush job for me and had to squeeze me in between other jobs . He did everything I asked for and I would easily recommend him to others.

He came right away and did a fine job.

Put in two railings in attic. Installed two screen doors. The railings are not installed with drywall plugs and are merely screwed into the wall. Three sets of screws holding brackets which in turn hold the railing are either coming out or have come out entirely. It is totally unsafe and was installed in a most incompetent and unsafe manner. One of the screen doors installed sticks so badly I cannot close it because the door was cut down insufficiently and now drags on the floor. The bottom was hacked off and no trim was added to make it look nice, nor was it even sanded so all the loose wood is chipped and hanging off. Another screen door installed was hacked unevenly with one side having one inch of wood (the side with brackets attached to the wall, and the side taking all the load pressure) while the other side had 3 inches of wood. Anybody with any common sense would have cut the door evenly on both sides. This man became belligerent when I asked why on earth he did this, denied it was a stupid and poorly done job and made me very uncomfortable in the process. I also texted him about the errors as soon as I discovered them, and he complained that I texted him at 10ish his time. Texting is silent and a commonly used method to contact people. He complained it made a noise on his phone. He told me the work would take the entire day, he was gone by 1:30 and did not start early. I work a full 8 hour 40 hour week. A full day is 8-5, not 10ish to 1:30. The man is an incompetent handyman. He said his training is in IT. I hope he is better at IT and he should stick with the field he has training in. My railings and door need to be redone. I wasted $300! Inexcusable, bad attitude, and incompetent.

Michael arrived on time, was pleasant, polite, did a wonderful job, and charged us less than the last two contractors we hired. We definitely will hire him to do more jobs at our home.
