Abraham’s son, Eric, was one of the few survivors of the camps in Poland and Germany during WWII. Upon his liberation, he left Europe for New York, and finally settled in Boston, MA. After spending some time working as a furniture restorer for the antique dealers on Beacon Street, he opened his own business. Using the expertise he learned from his father back in Germany, he quickly became renowned for his uncanny ability to restore almost any kind of art object. "Magic Carpet was called in after a faulty construction project damaged 25' of our roof line resulting in water damage to the insulation and wall board in my ceiling and walls. It was literally raining into my home on Christmas morning! The company was fast, knowledgeable and very professional. All wet insulation and materials were removed and surrounding areas tested for moisture issues. Everything was then professionally dried out with mold remediation procedures performed. Dan was very through and worked through the stress and mess; we have every confidence in their work. We highly recommend this company for disaster restoration as well as other services."

"We Hired Erik 2 weeks ago & our experience has been absolutely horrific. I could write a novel on our experience but I’ll keep it short & stick to relevant information. He does not even file for the proper permits to do the work he claims he can do. My town has already filed a report with the state. He has a long history of this behavior dating back to him moving to Maine from the south where he had another business under a different name. We were extremely lucky to have surveillance in our home & to know our legal rights because not only did he not finish the work & leave us with a huge mess, not to mention more work done than we initially needed… he tried to call CPS & filed a fraudulent report so that it would look like we would be retaliating when we filed for breach of contract. He didn’t stop there. He tried making it look like I was coming on to him & asking for work in exchange for sexual favors when I asked him if he was going to honor his contract. He hasn’t responded to me ever since I let him know I have video surveillance. He did this to a single mom with two special needs kids. Please protect yourself."

The house was in unbelievably bad shape, needing much trash removal, clutter removal, massive organizing,scrubbing and disinfecting a house with 7 rooms and 2 baths, plus a hallway that was in believable and unlivable shape. Added to that, they made many small repairs and picked up needed items (small rugs, locks, etc.). The job they did ran - expectedly - over 8 days and when they were done the place was unrecognizable. When they were done, you could, as the saying goes, eat off the floor. But more than that, they treated the inhabitants of the house, two elderly women and a single mother and child, with the greatest respect. Everyone was amazed at the magic they performed. They were efficient, didn't waste anytime, and more important, were totally trustworthy. I can only say that whatever job you have, they will do a remarkable job. Now that the house is cleaned I plan to hire them to do weekly cleaning. They earned every penny of their fee and then some. Thank you Shawna and Josh. You're amazing."
