"I can’t recommend Maniacs Carpet Cleaning and Water Extraction enough!! They came in and did such a fantastic job on my carpets!! They were very responsive, professional, and made sure everything looked better than when they showed up. Having three dogs I never thought they would get clean again and now they look as good as the day we had them installed!!!"

"Kaydn was hard working, very personable, and clearly focused on fixing our carpet problem—-which he did. Excellent communication to identify our needs, brought all the right equipment, and stayed with the project until completion. Highly recommended!"

"I would give more stars if I could. From the moment I first reached out to Sam on angislist he was so prompt on responses. He came out the next day to give a quote. We had just kicked a tenant out and we were out of state and he met my stepmom at the house to do a walkthrough. After getting a great quote for installation he was able to fit me in the following week because I told him I needed it done ASAP even though he had a busy schedule. Unbeknownst to me when he ripped up the carpet the odor from my tenant allowing their dogs to urinate all over the place was almost unbearable. It was not a pleasant job for him and he still did the job and it was quality and very fast. He is awesome and I’m so grateful he was able to fit me in on the very short notice I gave him and with the conditions. The flooring looks amazing and I’m so happy my vacation home is finally looking good!! Highly recommend him for all your flooring needs."

"

There were 3 professionals, starting at one end of the house and methodically worked their way thru. They brought all  needed supplies/mop/bucket/vacuum to get the job done.  I was pleased to see all they accomplished in a short time.  Two of the rooms were very dusty, to what I thought was to a "point of no return"(or at least for me to accomplish).    The rooms were dust free and clean.  There were piles of magazines/books that were disorderly and was left in a neat pile.

I would use this business again.  They are not afraid of dirt.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

You can save money on labor costs by removing your old carpet before the professionals come in to install the new carpet. Just make sure to clear it with your contractor ahead of time. You might also be able to cut costs by buying carpet at certain times of year when it’s less expensive. These periods include late December to mid-January and late spring to early summer.

Nylon carpet is widely considered one of the most durable and longest-lasting options, typically lasting 12 to 15 years. Its durability comes from its high resistance to wear, tear, stains, fading, and abrasions. It also resists liquid spills, insects, mold, and mildew, making it ideal for high-traffic areas like living rooms and hallways. For even greater longevity, frieze or Berber carpets are excellent choices that can last up to 20 to 25 years.

Beyond the material, a carpet's construction is key to its durability. Low-pile carpets with short, tight loops hold up better against wear than high-pile options. As a synthetic material, nylon is available in a vast range of colors and styles and often feels remarkably soft.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

Yes. When installed properly, the strong adhesive on carpet tiles keeps them in place while also allowing homeowners the flexibility to peel up an individual tile and replace it if they need to. It’s important to keep in mind that the adhesive on your carpet tiles may take some time to cure, so it’s best to leave them alone for a couple of days after you first install them.
