"The tree we had taken down was very big, and close to our home, and another building. Chris did a great job taking down the tree. We would definitely recommend this company. Would not hesitate to reach out again if we need to have another tree taken down. Thank you "Angie's" for the recommendation!!"

"Paul made every effort to come out to our home to perform an estimate of the work I needed done. I was happy with his estimate, courtesy, and professionalism. I did let him know that I had another company that contacted me and wanted to wait for that estimate. I ultimately took the other company as it was based closer to where I live and the estimate was lower for the same work. However, this will not be the last time I would contact Paul as I will most likely want another project done and willing to let his company perform that work. Thank you for checking out my first project, Paul."

"Outstanding work done by the crew that showed up on time and worked to clean up the significant amount of snapped off tree limbs and associated debris from the recent storm. Yard and street frontage also cleaned up. Highly recommend and will hire them again for other tree service!"

"Blue Spruce Property Management was super helpful in removing 3 trees in close proximity to my building! They were the most reasonably priced among all of the other quotes I received. They also were the most prompt in their ability to schedule in a timely manner! Mostly, I appreciated that they were very confident about how they would remove the trees without the need for cranes or other heavy equipment that wouldn't have fit in my driveway. This father/son duo traveled an hour away to help us out. Thank you guys for everything!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Most trees can be successfully transplanted while they are young, but pines, walnuts, and some oak tree varieties are more difficult to move because their root systems grow deeper than most other trees. Also, trees adapted to sandy soil with wide root systems like beeches, willows, and aspens are harder to dig out because their roots spread much farther out from the trunk. In these cases, unless the trees are very young and small, it’s a good idea to consult a tree planting professional.

Peach trees grow to be about 25 feet, so keep this in mind for pruning as well. If you plan to DIY, you’ll need to be comfortable working on a ladder. Without pruning, peach tree branches can sprawl nearly as wide as the tree grows tall, so make sure to plan pruning sessions at least once per year in the spring for controlled growth. And if you’re working on a ladder, be sure to follow all safety precautions, especially if you’ll be dealing with falling branches.

Ideally, you should wait to prune until trees have gone dormant in late fall to early winter. The worst times to prune trees are early fall and late summer, as pruning them so close to dormancy makes it difficult for the tree recover before it goes dormant for the season.

The exact answer to this question depends on which region of the country you’re talking about, but according to various tree counts, some of the most common types of trees in the United States include red maple, Douglas fir, quaking aspen, loblolly pine, and sweetgum.

Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.
