"Such a great company with an eye for detail! Rick was professional, courteous and honest. They showed up as promised every day and communicated with us throughout the project. Price was more than fair and the attention to detail was more than we had ever expected for the price that we were given. He turned our driveway which was muddy, rutted, and just an overall mess into a solid, well drained, flat and clean driveway that left us blown away in how perfect it looked and felt! They even stacked rocks at our ditch, added drainage and fabric in an area that was always a soupy mess and put down crushed rock before laying the gravel. Even with regular maintenance, most driveways don’t last much longer than 30 years. Alligator cracking is a clear warning sign that your driveway’s foundation is failing, and cracks that are deep and wide can let water in, causing more damage. Standing water is another red flag. If your driveway doesn’t drain properly, it’s going to degrade slowly. Finally, if you’re seeing dips or uneven patches, that’s a sign the base layer or soil is shifting. Asphalt dries and cures best between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This range allows moisture to evaporate quickly without causing the asphalt to cool too fast, which can negatively affect the drying process. However, keep in mind that other weather conditions can also affect curing and drying times, such as precipitation and humidity.

The cost to replace a driveway ranges from $8 to $15 per square foot, depending on factors that include material, size, and labor. If your driveway has deep cracks, potholes, or drainage issues (or if it’s simply past its prime), replacement might be the smarter investment over constant repairs. Resurfacing can be a cheaper alternative at $3 to $20 per square foot, but it won’t fix your driveway’s underlying problems.
