Well growing up in vassalboro maine watching my dad and his dad run thair business I ended up taking over the family business in 2020 I do Inside and outside painting over ten years of experience. Handyman jobs nothing is to big or small I do them all have 5 years of experience in that field. Landscaping 10 years of experience. Demolition jobs also 10 years of experience. I do roofing jobs but only metal roofs cause I paint them and been painting metal roofs since my dad brought me up on my first roof when I was 15 years old.i garntee any jobs that my company dose 100 percent satisfaction I've never had one angry customer and mlour prices will beat everyone around

It’s important to wait until the drywall is completely dry before painting the wall. This can take up to 24 hours. If you paint while the drywall is still wet, the paint could bubble, peel, or have trouble sticking to the wall. To speed up the drying process, you can turn on a fan, run a dehumidifier, or open windows.

Chalk paint can be applied without sanding first. Keep in mind that while there are a lot of chalk paint color options available, there aren’t as many choices as latex or oil-based paint.

You can also learn how to paint furniture without sanding using a liquid deglosser, sometimes referred to as liquid sandpaper. This can remove any old paint, gloss, or varnish, without the need to manually sand. Apply the deglosser using a cloth, then wait for the chemical to penetrate through the surface. Once it soaks through, you should be able to wipe away the residue with a towel. 

Rather than learning how to repaint a room in its entirety, you might want to touch up areas that are showing worn paint or damage. Learning how to match the paint color already on the walls can be challenging, though. If you don’t have any of the original paint, your local hardware store might have a record in your account of your past paint color purchases. A lacquer finish is thin, fast-drying, and best used for cabinets, molding, and trim. It’s not recommended for outdoor furniture. Another option is varnish, which has a glossy finish with a protective film and is often used on outdoor wood objects. Polyurethane, known as “liquid plastic,” dries quickly but doesn’t hold up well in the heat. Lastly, a shellac finish adds a warm tint to wood but is affected by heat.

If you’re repainting with the same sheen, it’s possible to apply satin paint over satin. However, if you’re reducing the glossiness and using a flatter paint, you should sand first to take off some of the sheen. Sanding will also help the next coat of paint stick to the wall better, so it’s a good idea, even if you’re not changing the sheen.
