We are a husband and wife team for over 16 years. We specialize in interior and exterior painting. We are a full service painting company that offers roofing siding replacement carpentry and flooring

"When first hired in 2020, the Crockers seemed to do okay. But as time went on, problems with them developed. Not even weeks after the job was sort of completed, they still needed to redo the paint on the porch, the paint started peeling off the walls. They were very unreliable in showing up on days they said they would. So to make a long story short, they failed to complete the painting job we had contracted them to do. The painting they did was literally flaky. It has been four years (the job was guaranteed for five years) and every year they say they will come and fix the paint job but never show up. Needless to say, the house looks horrible with all the paint peeling off. Like someone else said, we very strongly urge people to NOT hire Chris and Jackie Crocker. They are con artists and will take your money and run, without completing the work they contracted to do for you. They will also do horrible painting and finishing job. Please---DO NOT HIRE these crooks!"

While "blood" red was considered a "fright or flight" evoking color or symbol of power, home in a thatched shelter of green palm fronds and having some protection from the lush green background vegetation, there was generally peace and relaxation. Colors affect the mood of the people in the room, but they also need to reflect the style and personality of the people that reside there and are truly a personal choice. Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Plaster can be a difficult DIY to master, especially if you plan to plaster an entire room, rather than patch a small area. Before you begin a plaster DIY project, you need to know which tools and type of plaster to use. It's also important to know how to prepare the surface and apply the plaster for a smooth finish. If that all sounds like a lot of work, you may prefer hiring a local plaster repair contractor to do the job.

Only use spackle on plaster walls when the imperfection is small. It’s best used for nail holes or small dings in the plaster. Spackle dries quickly, allowing you to continue the repair process shortly after using it. Plaster can be tricky to repair, though, so if you run into issues, call a pro so that you don’t risk further damage.

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.

Although their applications are very similar, no drywall compound and spackle are not the same thing. Spackle is a bit thicker and is used to patch holes as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. Joint compound shrinks a bit more and can be more temperamental to spread. However, one benefit is that you can use joint compound as spackle (for small jobs), but you can’t use spackle as joint compound.
