"If you need a new deck and simply can't afford one Frank Winter, the owner at EW, IS YOUR GO TO GUY I have a brand new deck, custom railing, stairs, lattice, storage area doors, Beautiful Cpmposite Decking and Rail Capping. EW even custom designed a new look. Frank encourages the customer to be involved through the whole process even allowing changes through the process they arrived every day at 8am and gave us a full day. They didn't rush and took the time for perfection. They fixed any. Little nick at the end of we had a problem. We Han 2 big issues a scratched baluster and a corner needed some sanding. I'm sure they added over 20,000 to my value. Boy did we and ANGIES list make a great choice. I included some pics of my once embarrassment of a deck. "How Did It go? Saed and his team built us a new garage from the ground up. They handled everything from drawings, permitting, to pouring the slab and framing the garage. They were very responsive to our requests and were very professional. I will definitely recommend them to our friends."

"I waited several days to hear from the company after I purchased the offer. The owner came out as promised and we discussed what repairs were needed. He did not email the estimate as promised. I emailed and left a voicemail to see if the estimate was ready. He said that he had emailed it. (I did not receive it) He said he would email it again. Then he left a message saying that he was having some type of computer problem. He finally emailed an estimate on 8/23. After thinking over the cost, I emailed him on 8/25 saying that we accepted the offer. I have yet to hear back from him. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and do not feel comfortable doing business with this company."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

No, even if you have a vague idea of what you want, it’s a good idea to reach out to a contractor that specializes in outdoor kitchens for assistance. Professionals who have constructed kitchens for other homeowners can not only help you think about the functionality and convenience of your outdoor space—which many homeowners neglect—but they can also help you choose high-quality, durable materials that meet your budget and match the rest of your outdoor space. In fact, it’s often better to contact a contractor and get the ball rolling before you have a solidified plan for your outdoor kitchen.

If you plan to have a refrigerator or other appliances that require electricity, you will need an electrical outlet in your outdoor kitchen. Be sure to comply with all National Electrical Code® (NEC®) codes for electrical wiring and outlets in kitchens. If you do not plan to install a refrigerator or any other appliances that require electricity as part of your outdoor kitchen features, then you do not need to install electrical outlets. However, it is a good idea to install at least one electrical outlet should you decide to use any appliances that require electricity.

In most cases, yes, an outdoor living space adds value to your home. The trick to your best return on investment is to choose high-quality building materials that will look nice and durable without crossing the line into total luxury that becomes cost-ineffective. For example, there’s no need to install marble tiles around your pool, but a durable and aesthetically pleasing deck will go a long way.

The decision to build or buy an outdoor pizza oven depends on your personal preferences, budget, and time. Whether building is cheaper hinges on the style you choose and the tools and materials you already possess. For example, having a surplus of fire bricks from a previous project can significantly reduce costs. However, if you need to purchase all the required materials, buying a pre-made oven is often the more affordable and less labor-intensive option, with prices for quality versions typically ranging from $300 to $1,000. Keep in mind that while a DIY project can be cheaper than hiring a professional for a custom build, it carries the risk of injury or costly construction errors.

Yes, an outdoor kitchen can increase your home's value, as outdoor living areas are increasingly popular among potential homebuyers. The return on investment (ROI) can vary significantly, with estimates ranging from 50% to as high as 200%. In many cases, homeowners can expect to at least break even on the project. The final ROI depends on several factors, including the kitchen's size, design, and quality, the materials used, and whether it was professionally installed. Other considerations that impact value are your home's location, how well the kitchen is maintained, and how soon you sell after the remodel. However, be mindful that an outdoor kitchen that takes up a large portion of your usable yard space could be seen as a drawback by some buyers.
