I have been licensed under the same MHIC# 19907 for the past 27 years with no complaints. I am licensed, bonded and insured. In 1975 I was factory trained at Thermal Industries to manufacture, service and install replacement windows.I opened Paramount Home Remodeling in 1990, I then branched out into other sectors of home remodeling. I do 90% of the jobs I sell myself. I use licensed and bonded contractors,(Pluming, Electrical,Etc)when needed. I have referrals in all area's of the remodeling business. Most of my work is repeat and referral. Since you are dealing with the Owner you are assured that your job will be done right. I go above and beyond to make sure my customers are happy. I have kept my record clean by doing business this way.

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

In most cases, yes, masons can build concrete forms and pour concrete for a variety of home improvement projects, including foundation pouring. Some masons may prefer to focus on more aesthetic and artistic masonry work, like building retaining walls, crafting custom fireplaces, tiling, or installing stucco siding, but most also have experience pouring concrete. You can always ask your masonry contractor if they also handle poured concrete projects.

Sidewalks are concrete, not cement. Cement is merely an ingredient of concrete. To pour a sidewalk, driveway, or patio, you need to form the right mixture of concrete using cement, aggregates, and water. Pouring concrete requires special tools such as a concrete mixer, compactor, screeds, and floats. Unless you're pouring a small area, it's best to hire a concrete pro for a sidewalk or driveway project.

Both concrete and asphalt are appropriate for your driveway apron. The choice often comes down to local laws and the current material of your driveway. In some cases, your town may require you to install wire mesh or rebar to fortify the material, but both are common in apron installation.

Most of the time, you or your contractor will spray the concrete form and framework with a release agent or oil to prevent sticking. This is common practice with wood and steel forms. For insulated concrete forms, the styrofoam formwork often remains in place after construction, so you don’t need to treat it beforehand. Foam concrete forms made out of melamine also may not need treatment beforehand, as the material naturally won’t stick to the concrete after it’s cured.

The most common cause of concrete cracks is shrinkage when the concrete hardens and cures. The stress from the shrinkage exceeds the concrete’s strength. Concrete cracking can also occur when it experiences extremely cold or hot temperatures, such as a particularly harsh winter or a firepit built into a concrete patio.
