"Excellent workmanship and products I have had three installations with Power in the past two years. I first used them for a new roof and gutters. The workers were all knowledgeable in their area of work. Clean up was good although some nails kept showing up over time. Next I had the 2nd floor windows and some 1st floor windows replaced, 9 in total. Installation went well and they cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I love the windows! They are a beautiful and energy efficient product. Lastly, I recently had a bay window replaced in my kitchen with the same type window. The workers ere all friendly and explained what would be done. The area was draped with plastic to cut down on dust. Clean up was excellent inside and outside! The window is beautiful and the framing on the outside of the window matches the other windows and the small roof above the bay window was replaced with the same roofing as the rest of the house. I would choose them again for any future projects."

"Brian was superb and was able to jump in when there were additional unexpected problems with the window installation. He was able to plaster back loose bricks that fell out from the exterior front of the house, He was prompt, kept us informed and cleaned up the site. What more could you ask for? Thank you again, Brian"
"The Whiting Company covered all the uncovered wood on my dormers and bay window. Replaced my roof. Then installed new windows. The whole job was really quick. They covered the uncovered wood on a Tuesday. The roof material was delivered Thursday and installed the next day on Friday. Then the windows were done the following Monday. So all in all everything was done within a week. I love my new windows and no more leaks!"
"Damon is great to coordinate with. He’s kind and funny, accommodating and makes scheduling great. They did a wonderful job replacing the window glass and have a 3 year warranty. I have used them on patio doors in the past as well!"

There are a few reasons your crank windows might not close. First, determine if your window crank is working properly and opening and closing the window when you turn it. If it’s not, the crank may need replacing, cleaning, or lubricating. Another reason your windows aren’t closing could be dirt and debris in the window hinges or sash. Finally, make sure your window lock operator is set in the unlocked position and isn’t blocking the window from fully closing. If you’re still having trouble closing your window, it may be worth consulting a local window contractor.
On average, replacing your windows can cost anywhere from $180 to $410, which breaks down to an average of $280 per window. It all depends on the size of the window you’re installing and the frame and glass that you choose. Other things a contractor might take into consideration are the age of your home, the condition of the walls, and where you’re installing the windows.
Deciding whether to repair or replace a window depends on the specific issue, the window's age, and the cost-effectiveness of the solution.
Repair is often better for:
Minor issues such as a single broken glass pane, a stuck window, or small leaks. Repair is typically more affordable for isolated problems.
Replacement is the better long-term solution for:
Major problems like deteriorating or rotting frames, significant leaks, or drafts.
If your windows are over 15 years old, as repairs may only be a temporary fix for an aging unit.
If you have a widespread problem affecting several windows.
Common problems include broken latches, misaligned tracks, and worn seals. Regular inspection prevents major repairs.
Bay windows are supported by braces and industrial strength cables, often at the top of the window but sometimes at the bottom. The bay window may need buttress supports if installed on the second floor. Wood screws on the interior also hold the bay window in place. Bay windows are heavy and need proper support to prevent sagging and wall damage. You need to ensure that the support system can hold the weight of the window and the roof cab over the window.
