They contacted us when they had a cancellation and were able to do the work less than 48 hours after we made our choice to repair instead of replace. They were in and out in less than three hours, photographed the problems and sent the photos to us, cleaned everything out, patched the area that was leaking, reinstalled the shower unit and left after asking us to inspect to be sure everything was the way we wanted it. Great people to work with! I highly recommend them."

Meanwhile, cylinder glass was used more commonly because it created large square sheets that could be shaped to fit windows of all shapes and sizes.  

Bathroom mirrors weigh between 6 and 13 pounds, depending on the size. A 16x20-inch mirror weighs 6 pounds, while a 24x36-inch bathroom mirror weighs 12.5 pounds. Large mirrors, such as a 30x40-inch mirror, weigh 46 pounds. When installing or hanging a bathroom mirror, have a neighbor or partner assist you in lifting and holding the mirror in place. A second set of eyes can also help ensure the mirror is centered and level. 

To tell if a window is single or double-pane, focus on the edge. Double-pane windows have two glass layers separated by a spacer, which you can usually see around the edges. Black spots on the bottom or along the edge of your bathroom mirror are caused by oxidation behind the mirror glass. When moisture and air are trapped between the glass and the backing, they react and cause discoloration. This is sometimes referred to as “mirror rot.” You’ll need to separate the glass and the backing to fully remove it.

Yes, you can replace just one pane of glass in a sliding glass door, but you may need to contact the door manufacturer directly to get the proper dimensions of the pane. It’s also worth checking your door’s warranty, as various parts may be covered for a particular timeframe, so you may not have to pay for the replacement pane. But consider the condition of the rest of the door. If the door is old or in bad shape, replacing the entire door is probably more cost-effective.
