"Home Systems Appliance Repair did an excellent repair on my 18 year old panel-ready 42 inch Built-In counter depth GE Profile Refrigerator. The original GE tech who looked at the leak in the freezer evaporator a year ago, told me the refrigerator was non repairable because the "vacuum pump" retrofit part it needed was no longer available. After paying his $200 visit fee for a 2 minute consultation, he offered me a discount on a new GE refrigerator to fit which had not been built yet. Fast forward to now, GE does have 42 inch built-in counter depth Monogram side-by-side for $12,000 and $2,000 of Kraftmaid panels. Home Systems Appliance Repair cost me $400 to identify and fix a broken heat transfer tab in the freezer evaporator unit. I saved $15,000 - - not bad for paying Appliance Repair for a 2 hour job. You may find residual water in the hoses, but you can plug them. If the dishwasher breaks down midcycle it can sometimes be full of water. You’ll need to manually remove the water with a plastic cup before removing the dishwasher.

A dishwasher filter should be replaced every five years, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations and the frequency of use. The exact timing can vary based on factors such as the hardness of your water, how well you rinse dishes before loading them, and how often you clean the filter. Regularly inspect the filter for signs of wear and tear or damage. If the filter appears worn out, damaged, or excessively clogged despite regular cleaning, it should be replaced sooner.
