"Atila was very responsive through email and accommodating when we visited their showroom. He listened to our needs when he came to measure our kitchen and helped us get the design we wanted. The guys who installed were expert in installing the quartz and very efficient. They are highly recommended."

"The Lionize Preservation services was excellent and their commutation skills were very professional. They recommended products for others applicants in my home. I sent before/after pictures of my shower to my neighbors, and the Neightbors requested Lionize Preservation POC to have their tile/shower clean."

"We are very please with the work performed. The owner was was very courteous and professional. I sent pictures of what my bathtub and shower looked like, he gave me a quote and that was the price I paid, no surprises. The company called in advance to confirm the appointment. The men that did the work called that morning to let my husband know when they would be arriving. They explained what they would be doing and got right down to business. They completed the job in the time frame they stated and cleaned up quickly. The smell is a bit overwhelming at first but does dissipate after a while. Would definitely use this company again."

"I cannot recall giving a perfect score but this team deserves one. The price was almost too good causing me to study their prior reviews and web site. I am delighted I did so because it is clear the prior reviews were on the mark. They came on time -- even a bit early. They taught me lessons about how to protect marble. Responded to my adding a new task on the spot. VERY Pleased !!"

"Painters arrived exactly on time and accomplished all tasks the same day. The manually stripped the deck and applied two coats of stain. They carefully cleaned and then painted the foundation concrete as it had got dirty over the years. They also scraped, caulked and painted a large bump-out window off our living room.

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Countertop resurfacing or refinishing can extend the life of your countertops for an additional 5 to 10 years. The longevity depends on the quality of the materials, the amount of wear and tear, and how well the countertops are maintained. To maximize their lifespan, avoid heat damage by using hot pads or trivets, use cutting boards to prevent scratches, clean with non-abrasive cleaners, and wipe up spills promptly.

Overall, granite tends to cost more than marble. Prices for each material will fluctuate depending on the source of the stone, your location, shipping costs, and the thickness of the material. Labor to install marble or granite countertops typically ranges from $35 to $45 per hour. Granite and marble tile and slab costs compare as follows:

  • Marble tile: $7–$10

  • Granite tile: $5–$15

  • Marble slab: $25–$60

  • Granite slab: $50–$100

Use a pH-balanced cleaner, avoid abrasive materials, and reseal porous stones like granite annually to maintain durability.

It’s generally safe to use a Magic Eraser on quartz countertops. Magic Erasers are made from melamine foam, a gentle abrasive that can remove scratches and stains from various surfaces. Although using abrasive cleaners on quartz is not recommended, the melamine foam is gentle enough to remove minor stains and scratches without permanently damaging the quartz countertops.

Yes, a granite countertop can be cut in place. However, learning how to cut a granite countertop in place is a lot trickier than cutting granite in an open, well-ventilated space. You’ll also need to protect everything in the surrounding area (like your kitchen cabinets and appliances), but even that might not be enough to prevent dust from getting stuck in tight spots. If you absolutely must cut a granite countertop in place, consider hiring a pro to get the job done in the cleanest and safest way possible.
