I am so sorry that we were unable to assist you. We have been experiencing a tremendous amount of requests and we only have 2 estimators, The first estimator had his son die recently and the second estimator has been in and out of doctors appointments and will undergo a total hip replacement tomorrow. I expect that by the end of next week they should be back on top of things.Service Provider Response

I couldn't feel worse about the damage done to your slider. Unfortunately, an accident happened on your job. Immediate action was taken and a general contractor was there within a couple hours to handle the replacement of the damaged pane. The slider was secured and neither you or anyone else was subject to injury from the slider. I understand that you were more comfortable cancelling your work anyway. Upon excavation of your yard it can to light the multitude of preexisting structural problems with your house. You called a new contractor to repair your foundation. He decided that it would be cheaper to do a total door replacement than to try to save the old one. At this point it had no longer become necessary to replace 1 of the 4 panes on your old slider because you were getting a completely new unit. This was a direct result of preexisting foundation problems. However, I still refunded you $440 to appease you and complete the job which never needed to be repaired anyway. Then you were credited $549 for additional materials which you agreed to during installation. You insisted on a receipt for $440 that you never spent on excavation. I understand that this receipt will go towards a tax credit however, you asked us to compromise our integrity. I do feel that you took advantage of a bad situation. I am sorry that we could not see eye to eye on this. Regarding my employee, he will be fired if he comes to work again without appropriate safety gear. We are sorry this was not a good experience and sincerely wish you the best with your new project.Angi Certified
