"This company is the epitome of excellence. I hired JES to install engineered push piers for our slab. Prior to the work being done our entire upstairs would squeak, no matter how softly you’d step. After they completed, the squeaky floor subsided by 80/90%! Which is so amazing, and I didn’t even think it would fix as much as it did. We also had them use polyurethane foam to stabilize additional areas of our slab and driveway! The driveway wasn’t bad, but there’s a noticeable improvement. Where me and my husband were really impressed was by the production crew. They were extremely buttoned up, timely, and extremely considerate. They even managed to allow my kids to nap without disturbing them! How they did that is beyond me. When they got up though, they started the “jacking” process. My oldest son (6) and I were giggling at the noises it made, and the crew laughed along with him. The crew leaders- Greg Shock and Luis Carranza communicated through every step of the process and insured that we were 100% satisfied with the project prior to even asking for a final payment. That alone made me feel secure about my decision to have JES do this work. When it comes to home services, this company is truly a class act and a clear level above other companies in their field. They offer full solutions without adding on a ton of extras to pad the cost. I was informed of the importance of drainage around our slab, and it was explained to me with such grace and patience. I am not well versed in this field ha! Not only was excellent work done, but it is also warrantied for life! JES will be the only contractor I call going forward for my foundation needs. "I hired JES to install a trench and sump system into the basement of a new house I purchased. After the job was completed, I noticed the cellar stairwell was pooling water. They returned and said that they didn't think that the drain was run direct to the sump as it should have been but they needed to open the concrete to verify. I also asked why there was no water in the sumps. They ran tests with water for 2 hours and didn't see water and tried to explain to me that it was expected since the water was running out around the drainage under the foundation. They even had a supervisor try to explain to me over the phone when I questioned it. It took them several weeks to return to fix the cellar drain and sure enough, the pipe was just run to under the foundation and not directed into the trench/sump. A repair team came out and busted up the concrete to correct it. In doing so, they saw that their trench was also not connected to the sumps at all, which is why I never saw water in the sumps and not the mysterious theory they tried to convince me of weeks prior. This is terrible that there is no inspection of work prior to covering it totally with concrete. Or further, there was no physical test of running water in the system to verify the sump works. The repair team that came out were wonderful and did everything correct. After this, I called 3 times and asked for a manager to call me to discuss this and never received a response. The salesman stopped answering my calls. As a note, after spending $30K on this upgrade to my house, it was in worse risk than prior to JES so if you choose them, be careful."

Signs of structural damage include foundation cracks, roof leaks, bouncy floors, crumbling concrete, and cracked or leaning chimneys. Structural damage can make itself apparent in various ways, and sometimes, there may not be obvious signs. Inspect your foundation and roof annually to stay ahead of potentially serious structural problems. 

The costs depend on the type of wood, labor, roofing material, permits, and whether additional storage or enclosed walls are included.

First, most contractors will have a structural engineer create a report and plan for your project to ensure it’s safe to cut into the load-bearing wall. The contractor will then excavate around the wall, if necessary, measure the opening—allowing for additional space to fit and level the door, and then cut the doorway out. They will likely install a steel lintel as a header over the door for support. Once the doorway is cut out, they’ll demolish the concrete using sledge hammers and masonry chisels, clean up the surrounding concrete, and seal around the door with masonry mortar. 

The process involves initial consultation, concept development, detailed planning, regulatory approvals, and integration of contractor work for project execution.
