In cases such as covering a wide span or supporting alternative roofing materials, where a structural engineer needs to evaluate or create a design for your trusses, the plans will indicate the spacing. 

Home insurance covers roof replacement if the roof is damaged due to a covered peril, such as a falling tree branch or storm damage. It won’t cover roof replacement due to normal wear and tear or lack of maintenance.

Flapping shingles, or shingles that are lifting or curling away from your roof, can be glued back into place using roofing cement or sealant. Apply the glue underneath the shingle, then press it down firmly. You can leave a brick on top of the shingle to hold it in place overnight while the sealant dries.
