"$9,500 I was quoted for my concrete driveway and porch to be removed and a new concrete driveway and pad poured. I needed a culvert installed under the foot of my driveway for rain water drainage, it was agreed that a 4" pipe would work. When the crew came out to do the work, the demolition part went very smoothly but when it came to the drain I was told I needed an 8" pipe. The trench was dug for it including digging an 8" deep by 1 foot around hole in my nabors parking pad. Than I was told the grading was wrong. I told him water wasn't draining because the trench he dug for the 8" pipe he suggested was below the rest of the drain lines and the water will not flow untill it was leveled back out. He argued with me about it for about 3 hours wile the concrete was starting to be poured. After his own workers and I told him the 8" pipe would not work, we went back to the originally quoted 4" pipe and everything drained fine. After the concrete was completed the work looked great."

"Dannie came to our home in August and gave us a verbal estimate on the job; he never gave us a written estimate which I believe could have prevented the misunderstanding about what the price included. He was not able to start the job in a timely fashion because he was involved in another job and the homeowner kept adding projects which kept pushing our job back. When Dannie started the job, he re-laminated our kitchen countertop and he did an EXCELLENT job! He also installed a new stainless steel kitchen sink which turned out to be the wrong one which had been shipped by the supplier (not his fault). This complicated the whole project and ended up increasing the price...again not his fault. Dannie was pleasant and stood behind his work but I felt that he needed to be more detail oriented. I had to call his attention to several things for him to resolve them.

Time of arrival delayed due to vehicle issues (which I know you can't plan for) so service was not at the time I had planned but I made it work. "In contrast to many of the other people who do this work, Thompson's has someone who answers the phone and makes an appointment for an estimate.  I was especially pleased with the thoroughness of the explanation of the work given by Mike, who did the estimate.  I especially appreciated the how he explained in detail some of the problems that might come up, for example, that my basement stairs would have to be ripped out, and that my laundry sink would probably need to be replaced.  The vendor I spoke with before tended to gloss over what the work would actually be like.  Once the work started I saw that both these things had to be done, but I really appreciated knowing about it BEFORE the work started.  The price was good so I signed up.  I was pleased with the progress of the actual job, supervised by Danny.  The crew worked long hours, were pleasant and easy to deal with,  and finished the job up quickly. 
      I was particularly impressed with the support after the job was finished.  In the process of disconnecting and reconnecting the laundry sink, the plumber took one look at the 70 year old lead drain pipe and told me that it might get cracked in the process.  He was correct!  But I was very pleased with the response.  Jeff, the general manager, sent someone out right away to bust up a big section of the cement floor to expose the cracked pipe.  The plumber came in and fixed the pipe and a few days later another Thompson's crew came out to cover the area up with fresh cement.  It all went very smoothly with no extra charge from Thompson's.   One other nice feature, by the way, is the fact that the Thompson's warranty can be transferred when you sell your house.   So the takeaway is this:  getting a channel drain installed is a messy, noisy, dusty job, but Thompson's made it a better experience than it might have been.

Went under the house found the pipe shook it and said here is the problem. Hr removed a section of the pipe and found the stoppage removed it , repaired pipe and sink workes like new.
