"Initially, things went extremely well and I waited as long as I could before submitting the report in order to give them the opportunity to address an outstanding concern. I chose this provider because of the combination of reputation/price/scheduling. They were able to get the deck finished sooner than the other contractors. In fact, they were able finish before the contract date and we had use of the deck for labor day. However, there is a wobbly post that was brought to Marty's attention on 9/3. Not a major issue, and up to that point he had been very responsive so I didn't think too much about it when I gave him the final payment. He stated it was a 10 min fix and he would be by that next Tuesday to complete it. That week went by without a word so I called him and he promised that it would be complete by the next Wed. Not a word from him, so I sent him an email and he left me a voicemail stating it would be done the next Wed. Again, not a phone call/email, no communication. Essentially, I've had virtually no communication with Home Deck since they've received final payment. Being a sales professional myself, lack of communication is one of the fastest ways to erode customer confidence. This is a "10 min fix" and it's been almost a month. So naturally, there is concern that if there was a major issue with the deck, we'd be on our own. In their defense, they have stated that they stand by their work. We just haven't seen it in practice yet."

"I interviewed 3 deck companies before hiring RJ Construction. Robert, the owner, was easy to work with. The estimate was very reasonable and thorough for removing the old deck, updating the sub structure, and building a new trex deck. The work was done shortly after signing the contract. His crew was amazing; very skilled and careful. The work was done within the contracted time, but not always on consecutive days. Periodically and at the end Robert came to evaluate the work and had the crew return to tweak a few minor issues. The end result was a deck that exceeded my expectations and met my high standards."

"I was introduced to Roland and his team through a referral from my realtor. My husband and I were buying a single-family rancher, and it needed some immediate work after closing on the home to make it wheelchair accessible. Roland met with me during the inspection, gave us a quote not too soon after that, and his team was able to start the work ONE DAY after closing -- amazing! We were able to move into our new home 2 weeks later, and Roland, Jon and team were able to complete everything within 3 weeks. "Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.
