As it turned out the paving company had showed up same day as service for tree & was told they could come back following Monday. For some unknown reason you guys didn't return so was desperate on finding you again because I was not given a card or firm date for service. As it turned out after several calls I found your service contact again and even with rain the night before, your guys were there bright & early. The tree and stump & tree was removed, everything was cleaned so good you couldn't even see there was a tree there before. Wood stain is usually dry to the touch within 6 to 8 hours, but you should let each coat sit for 24 hours before applying another coat or applying a protective coat over it. If you applied your stain in high humidity or cold temperatures, you may need to wait up to 48 hours for the stain to dry completely.

If your cedar fence is new, don’t delay. Unlike treated pine, you don’t need to wait months for the wood to dry out for it to accept stain. With cedar, the sooner, the better. Seal cedar within two weeks of installation to prevent the sun from fading its red color.

While most stains will be dry to the touch within 12 hours, it can take up to 48 hours to fully cure. That means that while your stain might not be sticky within 12 hours, it’s still not recommended to get it wet or touch it until it’s had a chance to set for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Using a paint sprayer takes a little more practice than a roller, but both are equally effective. If you’re in a hurry and have the experience, a paint sprayer can save you some time on your project. If you’ve never used a sprayer and don’t have the time to learn, using a roller or brush will get you closer to your dream results.

You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.
