"Mike Thomas, the owner/operator responded to my call promptly. He came to my home within a few days and presented me with a written statement of cost on completion. My neighbors and I were able to schedule the stump grinding within a short period of time that fit our schedule. The work was completed as described in the work order. Mike arrived on time and completed the job in a neat and orderly fashion. I would recommend him to anyone including family and friends."

"The entire team at Advanced Seamless Gutters/ Advanced Basement Waterproofing was a pleasure to work with. We met first with Robert, who explained the process of mold remediation and answered my many questions with patience and understanding. We had such great trust in him, we hired his team to work on two of our homes. Duma oversaw the fantastic team, including Josh, Anthony and Kenny- They arrived early every day and worked long days. They dealt with challenges without complaint. At our South Hadely home, although it was tricky accessing the walls behind some basement framing, they got in there with tiny brushes and did a beautiful job. At our Holyoke home, they demoed paneling, room dividers, old cabinetry, ceiling tiles, and floor tiles quickly and efficiently. The used muratic acid to etch the walls and applied two coats of mold- and water-resistant paint. They hepa vaced all the wood surfaces, cleaned them with detergent, hepa vaced again, then sealed the surfaces. Then they cleaned and painted the floors. They even very kindly removed an old, cracked sink from my Mom's home. The transformation of the basement was AMAZING! It went from an unsafe, dark dungeon, to a bright, clean, and spacious living space. Highly recommend."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
