Bruce was professional with his proposal and workmanship in completing the exterior painting.

B&D Painting did an amazing job painting and repairing the back side of our home. We needed some carpentry for water damage and a thorough scraping and painting. It looks phenomenal, better than we hoped. Bruce and his team were respectful and easy to work with. The communication was excellent. We always knew when they would be there, how the project was progressing, and what decisions Bruce made about how to make the repairs. He also gave us excellent advice, including NOT to do certain work, so they are honest. Best of all, we had this stellar experience and it cost us significantly less than other estimates. I could not recommend B&D highly enough. They are coming back to paint the rest of our house in the spring. We will also use them for any other repairs or snow situations that arise.

While B&D may take more time than some contractors, their quality of work is second to none, and I felt they exhibit and exceptional degree of attention to detail.

Bruce, Mike and Alex recently did the prep work and stained my 2000 sq ft ranch. I chose Bruce as he had the most detailed plan for the prep work and trusted his plan for the house. They had to power-sand 2 of the 4 sides of the house to even out wood fibers and followed it up with 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Solid Stain (3 in some areas) to give a uniform appearance on the house. Bruce is very detailed in his work. He caulked some of the damaged clapboards and filled in various small cracks/holes. Mike and Alex were there every step of the way and are extremely good at their craft. All 3 even came on a Saturday/Sunday because they had missed a few days during the week due to weather. The house came out excellent! We did a Gray body with White trim/soffits/fascia. The lines they cut are clean and crisp and really show a nice contrast between the two colors. I was hesitant on using a Solid based Stain as I'm afraid of it peeling/chipping, but due to the prep work and the application by Bruce, Mike and Alex I am happy with the decision! A con I found was that the schedule was way off. It took Bruce much longer to start on the house than the timeline he originally gave. It also took them longer to complete the house than what he originally estimated. The wait was worth it for me. A long-lasting and good paint/stain job always goes back to the quality of the prep work. Thank you Bruce, Mike and Alex!

Don't be put off by the company title, B&D Painting, Bruce is an all around expert roofer, builder, restorer, house painter and more, and you won't regret hiring him to do any job you may have! His honesty and integrity are rare qualities in any profession and I want to spread the word by highly recommending him!

Outstanding work words can-not express or give the proper justice due to Bruce Williams.

We have a large, 1772 Colonial home, and after removing aluminum siding were left with very old wood clapboards that needed a great deal of repair and painting. Some of the house had been painted but was peeling, other parts were in need of massive work. Bruce at B+D Painting and his crew did a great job of repairing and painting, leaving a beautiful finish but not at the expense of the historic look of the house. They problem-solved a difficult site, got the job done before the weather turned and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. Great job, guys!

Bruce was a pleasure to work with. He is very interested in old houses. His craftsmanship is impressive. I like that he thinks about the best way to approach a job and listens to home owner concerns. He is also extremely reliable and comes to do the work when he says he will. I recommend him highly.
