"Jay is extremely knowledgeable, not just about painting but also other general contracting work, therefore he is conscientious of how the other work we had planned needed to fit in. He had great recommendations for some options we were evaluating on how to deal with a set of railings dividing the entry way from the living room as well as on the stairway. He advised painting the spindles only from his extensive experience with other painting projects, and doing a coat of poly on the handrails instead for a better grip texture, and the result was excellent. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."
