When we met with the owner, Leo, we felt he was honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and very importantly, he gave us the best price of all the people we met based on the size, material, and brand of our choice. Initially, we only wanted to do the deck, but they were so good that we decided to ask them to replace our patio too. They were so good with deck and patio that we ended up asking them to fix our retaining wall too. Leo and his team were professional, reliable, courteous, and very hard working. Dan and his son James came by for an estimate and surprisingly two days later their team came to replace our roof. Took them two days to complete both sides of the house. Highly recommend! "It went very well. My only complaint was that there was not literature (warranty, maintenance instructions, etc.) that came when they installed it. They said that it would be e-mailed to me. It never was. I also had a technical question so I called them. They put me though to the specialist but I had to leave a message. They never called me back."

"I couldn t have asked for more when hiring Claudio to stain my deck That had new and old pressurize wood from an extension I did a few years ago. I reached out to multiple contractors For estimates and when talking to Claudio I just knew by his professionalism his knowledge on paint and especially staining was superior to the rest, He would pick up my call every time I tried reaching out to him texted back immediately. The job was a two session job so on one day he sent out one of his workers what you have to say came right on time 8 AM in the morning to power-wash the deck, He was there for about four hours and you could tell by his meticulous work that he wasn t rushing the job even though it was just power-washing, The next challenge was waiting a few days for it to dry and as you know this rain wasn t helping but we got a couple of sunny days and Claudio booked for a Saturday to start staining. He arrived at my house promptly at 8 AM to start the project on my 10x24 second story deck. Everything that I researched about staining is exactly what I notice he was doing he made sure to mix or stains into one bucket to confirm a unified color, Also he use a spray gun with a back brush technique which is the best way to get it even color throughout your deck and make sure all the pores in crevices are covered. The project wrapped up around 2 PM. My wife and I were extremely happy with the outcome I m glad we picked Claudio for the job. What I didn t mention was he did not ask for any money upfront he specifically said you can pay me when the job is done and you are satisfied with your deck. We was able to pay via credit card which always makes life a little easier. We would definitely be hiring Claudio again from multiple projects at our home. Always good to meet solid people that work hard and that our professional and that I m not trying to rip you off ."

"We have a large deck and a large family. We had been using two metal frame 10x10 canopies for shade over our two six foot long patio tables and 14 chairs. We had to replace them nearly every year due to wear, tear and fading etc. The frame of the canopies took up room on the deck making it difficult to move out chairs from our tables when we were having dinner on the deck. Our new awning from Dorchester Awning Company is absolutely amazing. It is 20 feet wide by 13 ft 6 inches and nearly covers our entire deck. We have so much more usable room on the deck. No more worries about taking in the canopies during heavy storms/hurricanes. We can retract the awning with a push of a button! We also purchased the wind sensor in the event the awning is out and a rogue wind whips up. The choice of fabrics is too extensive to mention. If you can't find a complimentary color it's because it doesn't exist. We scheduled our initial appointment for an estimate and John, our salesman/installer came out as promised on time. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were so impressed with the product and the service, we ordered then and there. The awning was delivered and installed within the exact time frame promised. The installers did a wonderful job. Everything was cleaned up as if they had never even been there. Mark Lampson followed up with us by phone to be sure we were happy with the product and installation. About 2-3 weeks after the installation my husband was showing a friend the awning and tried to retract it and the awning would retract a few inches and then go out again. It would not retract. Fortunately they also provide you with a hand crank for the awning in the event of power failure so we were able to retract the awning by hand. It just so happened Mark had called again the following day to check in. I told him about the problem which he suspected was a defect in the motor. Within one week our new motor was installed. Our awning works perfectly now. I would highly recommend Dorchester Awning Company. The product is excellent and the service is exemplary. We have already recommended this company to lots of our friends who have been impressed with our awning!"
