"The installers were very professional. Clean up was great. Quality assurance manager came out can checkout everything and fixed some minor issues. We will be using again. In fact we are having a door installed in August."

"Frank showed up within 20 minutes to provide a quote on New Year's Eve. I had had a boiler install scheduled for that day, but they wouldn't do it because of the asbestos on the pipes. We were booked with Abide within a few days of receiving the quote, and they were flexible in terms of the adding to the scope of work (initially just one room was planned, but I then decided to have the whole basement done). The work crew showed up about 10 minutes early and left everything in great shape. The total cost for about 115 linear feet of asbestos pipe insulation removal was about $2200."

"For those of you looking for an honest, kind, caring person in the world of “hazardous vapors” look no further than this company. Kevin at All Clean Environmental Services took my panicked call on a Saturday and listened in detail about health concerns regarding “moth ball odors” in my family’s rental property. With that he volunteered to come and “check out” the offensive odors. Kevin was very discreet as well as thorough in his handling of visit to “our” home. Having never dealt with this problem he was quickly in contact with his suppliers of treatment options."

"We have used Shaw and Hess for two projects so far. Power washing our home and also some insulation installation in our garage. They EXCEEDED our expectations. They were prompt, courteous, professional and the quality of their work is exceptional. We would give them a higher rating if possible. Jesse is outstanding to work with. We highly recommend their company."

"Home Adavisor mandates that I rate a company even though I did not hire them = not fair. I can not attest as to to the quality of their work although they certainly appear to be reputable. I had a small vinyl siding job (2 square) and the rep indicated that they don't really take on small jobs and that his quote would not not be competitive with a local central CT contractor."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

DIY is possible for experienced individuals. Professional installation ensures compliance with building codes and proper sealing.

An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.
