I find working with contractors in the home frustrating, you are fitting into their schedule and trying to co-exist with 2-3 strangers in and out of your home. However, Brian and his crew are always there when they say, finish when expected, clean-up at the end of the day, and considerate of your home and your family’s schedule. And Brian is not just top coat Irish charm, underneath he’s a solid guy. He’s has talked me out of projects that he thought were unnecessary, although he’d lose out on the business. Handyman SpecialistThis is the second time we hired Mike. Our projects were having our fieldstone basement repointed, adding a small piece to our existing fence to our garage, and adding paving stones behind the garage. While he was here, we showed him another project we were considering, and he was able to fit that in the following week. The second project was cleaning out the attic of the garage, removing the floorboards and installing a new 4-foot shelf in the attic ceiling, painting the interior, and installing 3 new windows. Mike is truly a jack of all trades! All the projects above came out great and we were very thankful to have his guidance as things went along. He provided a quote for the job, was communicative, and arrived in a timely manner. He cleaned up after very well after each day and he explains his process, problems, and solutions as he goes so, I always felt informed of what was going on. Mendez Brothers PaintingFlorentine and his team did a fantastic job painting our home's exterior, deck, and trimming. They also painted the wrought Iron railings on our deck, stairs, gate, and fence. They scraped the old paint off the house first. Then they power washed my house before priming, painting, and replacing any rotting wood. They also power washed the composite deck flooring and it looks brand new. They have amazing customer service, are very responsive, hardworking, gave us great suggestions and are very professional! Replacing your home’s siding is probably one of the biggest home improvement projects you’re ever going to undertake in your lifetime as a homeowner. It’s certainly one of the most expensive. There’s a lot that goes into making this decision. First, you have to determine your budget. Then, you need to decide on the type of siding you want (cheapest? most expensive? somewhere in the middle?), the color, but most importantly, WHO is going to do the work. Finding the right contractor, for me, is the most important part of this process. Let’s face it, siding is siding is siding and unless you’re looking for some type of specialized product, replacement siding is pretty much the same from contractor to contractor. You can’t say the same thing about the company that you hire to do the job. You must feel comfortable with the contractor, and, perhaps most importantly, you must feel that they aren’t taking advantage of you and that they are going to follow through on the terms that are outlined in the contract that you sign with them. My wife and I found all of this and more with Hector Cabrera and his company, Emmaty. After we decided to move forward with residing our house, we researched companies in the area (we didn’t want to use a national chain) and my wife found Emmaty on Angie’s List. The overwhelmingly positive reviews really got our attention. Looking at Emmaty’s website, we also were impressed to learn that it is a family-owned company as Hector’s wife, Madeline, runs the business side of the company. That was a HUGE plus for us. When we saw the same type of reviews at the Better Business Bureau’s website, we knew we had to call for an estimate. Meeting Hector was a pleasure and we knew immediately that he knows what he’s talking about and is very passionate about his work. Within a few days of meeting us at our home, he returned with a quote to replace the siding and one leaky window, and have seamless gutters installed, all well within our budget. (Other quotes we had just for the siding were well above Emmaty’s, one as much as $12,000 more.) Along with the quote, Hector showed us a slide deck presentation on his tablet that explained the siding product they use, how the process works, and what we can expect. Hector’s crew is fantastic. They showed up on time every day and immediately set to work. They’re professional, courteous, and just don’t stop moving. Hector himself came by often to monitor their progress and check in with us to make sure we were happy with the work. He even helped install the gutters and cleaned up on the last day. To say we are happy is an understatement. Updating our home’s siding is something we’ve wanted to do for years and we are so excited and pleased that we hired Emmaty to do the job. Every day for the week they were here felt like Christmas morning because we’d walk around the house, marveling at how much work had been done and seeing the house being transformed. We cannot say enough about Hector, Madeline, and Emmaty. Customer service is THE most important factor for me when it comes to ANY type of business transaction, be it at a restaurant, store, or making a large purchase. If I don’t get good customer service, I’ll never return to that business. Hector and Emmaty are EXACTLY what we had hoped for in a contractor and we can’t wait for them to return in the spring to talk about replacing our home’s windows. We know the job will be done right by excellent people at a fair price.

Excellent! They offered the lowest prices of all the vendors I called. Ivan scheduled the work on the same day I made the request- quick and easy. They were able to accommodate a different time for the work last minute. The workers were on time, sociable, and very professional. They went the extra mile and drilled drain holes in the windows and then closed them up with silicone. I am thoroughly happy with the quality of work! AWFUL. Arrived 1015 Friday after Thanksgiving and were gone by 11am. I contracted their premium package, $770. This included pics and video of entire job and water washing to show cleared downspouts. I have trees and this is a problem. The skipped half our house and only did the easy part, front and driveway. They never came to assess the job although it states on the website they will, they didn't. I asked they come to access but instead they googled me. After the job was done in 45 minutes I waited and waited for the pics and video I paid a small fortune to have. They eventually sent me two pics of the cleaned front gutter , the other pics I received were of someone else's property! I have a video, less than 10 seconds that shows a worker crouching at the edge of my roof. He was PRETENDING to be doing the downspout water wash, but there was no water in the red bucket. They could have done the right thing and done their job but instead cut corners and preferred to FAKE/PRETEND they did the work of cleaning the gutters and water washing my downspouts. I have no videos or pics to show me they did anything but the front and one side. I posted something this morning on their website that showed others with a similar complaints of lack of professionalism, claiming the workers don't speak English so they didn't understand the job? Also on their website they say they will come back within 65 days to make any problem, right. They never even called me back. CRIMINALS. On their website show 5 star reviews but this morning they were all 1 Star. Not with this company, no way. I filed a report with the BBB, AG's office, Google, Yelp, Here and will take them to court. It isn't the money as much as you stealing from me. Don't tell me you are going to do something then don't. Never pretend or send me someone else's gutters.
